The jacuzzi wasn't working which wasn't mentioned when we rang to ask about the facilities and you also need to pre book spa treatments to ensure there is space.

Great view from one window but could have done with a net curtain for the other window which looked out onto the car park. Hotel is like a maze with lots of steps up and down in various corridors but this is to be expected in such an old building and gave it character. Bar area was small for the size of the hotel and wasn’t enough seating. Staff didn’t seem to be coping with the amount of guests staying there and the service was poor and slow. Shame the jacuzzi wasn’t working during our 2 night stay, if would have masked the noise from all the kids in the pool!

Bedroom was a good size and tastefully designed. The bed was reasonably comfortable and had lovely big soft pillows. The rest of the hotel was very nice and quirky.

Very hard beds, all 6 family members felt the same, not just one of us! Very slow service in both bars. The Tempo bar closing early. Over priced food in main restaurant and service charge.

The hotel still has its old charm, and the staff are all very lovely. The room had a lovely view.

I think although it may sound daft but I can't understand why not just this property but all I have been in recently there is never a toilet brush in the bathroom.

We received a warm welcome upon arrival at reception from Danielle, who provided details of everything we needed during our stay. The hotel was easy to find, sign posted well. Our room was clean and maintained throughout our stay (2 nights). The staff in Tempo were lovely. There was a great selection of options available for breakfast, the staff were so welcoming and very accommodating - big thank you to Dylan (breakfast team) who went above and beyond to provide an exceptional service. Lovely hotel, we'll definitely be back.

Breakfast was lovely but I had hoped for a bit more quality food for dinner for menu and prices. Some of vegetables were barely warm but all in all was a lovely place and id go again.

In bathroom, it was difficult to mix cold and hot water. Difficult to bathe in extreme hot or cold water.

The location of the priory was great, it’s look castle-like and majestic. It’s gym world class and restaurants top notch. Room excellent size.

The bathroom in our room was not very accessible friendly, with stairs up to the room and a shower screen which could not be pulled out to provide easier access to the bath for a shower. We managed it but can't imagine it being pleasant for a longer stay. The side tables had plug sockets for the lamps, but these were not UK standard plugs. As I require a piece of medical equipment near the bed, this made it very difficult to use. The sports bar was loud but that cannot be helped as this was the clientele and not the staff.

The room we stayed in (Junior King Suite) was beautiful. Very clean and spacious, and the bed was huge and exceptionally comfortable. We had breakfast during our stay, which had plenty of choices and was replenished regularly. It was very nice and filled us up for the day. We used the spa facilities also. The pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi were great, with the jacuzzi being our favourite, though it was rather popular. The gym was good too, with modern equipment and looks to have been recently updated. My husband a spa treatment, which was very enjoyable and relaxing. We had dinner in the restaurant for three evenings of our stay. The meals were pricey but absolutely delicious. I particularly haven't stopped raving about the ribs!!

There is this door. This door lives way below my room on the top floor. This door is big, this door is heavy, this door is loud! This door is used by staff. Staff have got used to this door banging. This door bangs intermittently all through the night. This bang is so loud it penetrates the bones of the building. This bang reaches you through the bed. This bang reaches your head through pillows This bang enters your brain through ear plugs. This door is big, this door is heavy, this door is loud! I hate this door.

Furniture piled in the car park ready for disposal, could be cleared. Restaurant meal was good but expensive.

One room had a lovely view over the grounds, the second had a view of the car park and builders vans. The shower screen is not fitted properly creating water puddles on the bathroom floor. Substantial breakfast

As mentioned above, the extractor fan needed fixing within the bathroom, room 353. We paid £169 for the room b&b, would be nice if we came again to find a bit more of a discount.

We had a very comfortable, freshly painted room overlooking the grounds. The extractor fan in the bathroom did not work, which may need to be fixed. We made use of the Club bar which had a great atmosphere, enjoyed a spot of lunch and then went onto the Spa for a swim. We felt it was a little hot in the Spa area, however it was very pleasant and clean. A kind cleaner in the ladies changing room assisted me with how to use the locker! We also enjoyed a walk through the nature trail. Breakfast was very satisfying too! Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again.

For the cost of a room, the mattress no to my liking, felt a little "lower end", double glazed windows suffering water ingress spoilt a lovely view.

Nice spot for an overnight stay on business in Derby. Sadly I do not play golf, as it looked like a nice course. Restaurant was busy and the steak was very good.
