Mould in bathroom, mattress and pillows too soft for me. For someone who travels with an aeropress for my own coffee not having a tea spoon in the room was disappointing.

Bathroom clearly dated, sink hard to reach as set quite far back in the worktop. Bath had a shower screen fitted but the handle stopped it fitting properly and it leaked everywhere with every use. There was a hand rail to the wall that meant you had to be very slim to shower comfortably. Window was straight out to car park so had to keep the curtains closed for any sense of privacy. No plugs near bed, lamps had USB charger points but they didn't work. TV kept randomly restarting. Walls very thin and you could hear conversations and TV from other rooms.

Staff were excellent, really excellent. Grounds impressive. Breakfast was lovely and well managed. Bed was soooo comfy. The room was a good size. I wouldn't let my list of negatives put you off. I just wanted to be honest. I would definitely stay here again, and it was definitely worth the money. Did I say the staff were excellent?

Breakfast fantastic. Room fantastic. Cotton buds would have been a nice touch, as there is a pool and jacuzzi. Grounds and views are fabulous. Waitresses really excellent.

Location. Set in the surroundings of the golf course, it’s well maintained and stunning views. Made the perfect getaway.

Lots of golfers using the Club car park so not easy to park. Bathroom poorly designed - toilet very low, bath handle on wall in wrong place should be much further back as limits space near shower head.

The USB within the bedside lamps did not work and if you wanted to plug your phone you weren’t able to as the plugs did not match to the socket’s in the wall. The pool is small so it gets very busy.

The views were beautiful. The golf course was worth the price. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable Really enjoyed our time

Kimberley - the restaurant manager was terrible. She would not allow me to take the table I had requested, and made me sit in a dark corner at the back of the restaurant on a sunny evening. I was dining alone which made it worse. I was there trom 18:00-20:00 and the restaurant was st 30% capacity- there were plenty of other tables for me to sit at. She refused. Not at all in line with a 5 star global brand's hospitality level. All other staff and the food were excellent.

Beams in bedroom were too close to bed. Easily mitigated by moving the bed, but understandable due to property age.

Breakfast was good, kids loved the trail and gardens. Staff were lovely, even gave the kids a goody bag filled with Easter eggs and activities, nice touch.

‘Didn’t like’ is too strong a phrase but it’s just being aware that most of the hotel ground is the golf course.

The properly has beautiful grounds and views and although most of the rooms are in a newer building - it still felt like part of the historic building at the front. The pool was small but spotless and you could use the facilities before and after check in.

Dinner, my food was ok, if a bit too salty, but my partners wasn’t great, but to be fair they acknowledged this & took it all off the bill, although it did mean he was starving when we got to bed! Staff seemed a little overwhelmed across the whole restaurant, I assume they were short staffed or training as morning service was great.

Beautiful grounds, reception & restaurant area are beautiful. Breakfast was lovely, pool was really nice. Bed really comfortable.

The children’s menu didn’t really cater for older children, my 9 and 11 year old wanted a more substantial choice. The drink prices were very expensive - £11 for a large glass of wine!!

The breakfast was lovely and the staff were very friendly.

Room had no room makeover after the first day, so the drinks tray was not refreshed with clean cups and tea etc, we had to ask for more tea at reception and this never arrived. We were paying a premier room price for a special occasion and this aspect didn't match that.

Ok the whole the stay was very good and I would stop again however at dinner I had to request for water a further 3 times after originally being asked if I wanted some ( said yes) but then it never came until mid way through the main course ( I had a starter). I also had to ask for mayonnaise for the main twice. When asked if they were understaffed the answer was no just that a lot of people turned up who hadn’t booked so they weren’t expecting them. We could see the waitress moving quickly to help others who also clearly had issues with drinks orders. The food was excellent and arrived in good time. The issue with drinks however did drop the score down.
