the complmentary snake and drink in the room is also a good experience of Scotland culture. That is very sweet. People are su nice. I would recommmend friends to stay at this hotel while in Edinburgh or other hotel in the Carlton group.

We travelled by train, and when we came out of the station, the hotel was standing right in front of us. Such a convenient place! When we checked in, we were offered a glass of champagne at the reception! After a long journey, this was so welcoming. The room was spacious, comfortable and stylish. We chose this hotel because of the convenient location for the train station, but there is certainly more than that.

Location was excellent. Short stroll from Waverley Station.Situated between both old town and new. Excellent views of new Edinburgh from restaurant dining rooms. Beds were comfy. Staff were professional and helpful.

I liked everything, with perhaps the exception of having tradesmen in the next building being able to look directly into our room. We kept the blinds closed during our stay.

Location was great, adjacent to Waverley Station. Central location to both old and new towns. Beds were very comfy and rooms very well appointed. Reception and dining staff were very friendly and helpful. A request to do something special for my daughter’s birthday was effortlessly accommodated.

There’s really nothing to dislike this place.

We like this property so much.Our room was the Vista (great view of Balmoral Hotel) clean and staff were so helpful and friendly. The room has great emenities like steamer, Dyson hair dryer and more. And it’s so close to everything. Very convenient to Old and New Towns. I would definitely stay here again when I go back to Edinburgh in the near future. Highly, highly recommend this place.

The only thing bad I could say was that there was a smell coming from the shower area and shower head on the ceiling. This could be that it doesn’t get used often. We didn’t use it as it wasn’t great but the shower generally is good. We were happy with using the other shower head.

The hotel is great. It was our second time staying and this hotel will always be our place to stay whenever we come to Edinburgh. Everything works well. Great location right by the station and city. Breakfast was tasty and there was a lot of choice. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Love that the room provides a Dyson hair dryer.

The location was really great and the staff was extremely kind as well. The room was very cozy and well equipped. The only thing that wasn’t so great was, that there were no windows in my room. It was very little sunlight that got threw a door to a backyard. Unfortunately i could not open the door. Everything else was great! 👍

We absolutely loved our room in Market Street, the room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The interior design of the room was also very nice. The location is also great, the bus stop which takes you straight to and from the airport is a 7 min walk from the hotel.

The attention to detail given to the room in terms of design, layout, detailing and facilities was exceptional. Contemporary but homely. Some great touches such as the complimentary bar and Tunnocks biscuits! Staff were enthused and it is clear that the company is a good employer. I don't know if this is an issue with the room I stayed in since no one seems to be mentioning it, but you could hear every single thing going on outside the room. You could also hear footsteps and sliding doors from the rooms next to you or above. I could even hear the pipes when the room next door or above would flush the toilet or use the tap. I woke up from how loud everything was a few times during the night. I wasn't particularly bothered to be honest, and after getting used to it on the first night, I slept well on my second night. But if you're a light sleeper, it could be annoying.

The hotel itself is beautiful. The design and interior are pleasing; I truly loved the room. It was very cosy. The room was very clean, and it had almost everything you needed. The location is excellent; it's just a few steps away from Edinburgh Waverley. I would definitely stay here again.
