Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

RomaniaThe hot water wasn’t that hot…I think was set around 38 degrees so sometimes after a long walk in the cold the shower temperature wasn’t enough.
Very good located, short walk from restaurants, shops, shopping centers and buses. It was very clean and the staff was very nice. I really liked that they took into account my request of a quiet room since I am a light sleeper and got a room on the 12th floor. I travel a lot and honestly this is the best sleep I ever had in a hotel (no noise + extremely comfy bed). The bathroom was nice and well ventilated.

United KingdomWe validated our parking which should have made it £12. Got charged £40 when put card in machine. Didn't have time to go back to hotel to challenge due to tight timetable. Contacted Maldron several times through booking.com but have had radio silence since would put me off staying again as can't stand poor after customer service.
Location was great for what we wanted. Large room and comfy bed.

Food was immaculate! Breakfast and dinner was varied and lovely. Room was amazing, clean and safe. Amenities such as biscuits/tea/coffee were plentiful and there was a safe/iron provided! Area was perfect in the centre of the city.

United KingdomI had an email advising if we parked in Cambridge Street carpark and got our ticket stamped at hotel reception we would get a rate of £8 for 24hrs - however when we got back to our car the following morning we were charged £12.
Our room was lovely - but we had a double bed and a single bed squashed into the room. It would have been better if it was just one larger bed and more centred in the room.
