We went along the A57 from the west to get there. Would not do that road again and steer clear of Lodge Lane if you can. Awful road.

Maggi and Sam were the perfect hosts. Flossy is a love and so placid. Breakfast was great and good value for money and the location was within walking distance of a good pub full of real ale and good food. An excellent base for visiting Sheffield and surrounding areas

Everything! Comfortable and quiet room, speedy and helpful communication with Maggi. Location very convenient in leafy neighbourhood so close to the countryside. We had a very warm welcome from the couple, indeed felt very much at home, and enjoyed chatting with Maggi whilst enjoying her perfectly poached eggs :) Thank you again!

Beautiful property, fantastic location. Our hosts were so welcoming and such pleasant people. The room was clean and quiet with an amazingly comfortable bed. Breakfast was just perfect, great selection and Maggi makes outstanding preserves..maybe a sideline in selling a jar or two could be a thought😃 Overall would highly recommend.

Location good to reach our son in student land! Breakfast was more than adequate with some lovely little touches. Our host joined us to eat once breakfast had been served. Everything we needed was available to make our stay comfortable & pleasant.

I can't think of any negative points.

I'd originally booked a slightly cheaper hotel in a more central Sheffield location. However after a closer look at the reviews for that hotel, which mentioned that it was in a student area and therefore quite noisy with the antics of young people (!), I decided to rebook at Maggi's place. I'm very glad I did - I had four very good, peaceful and undisturbed nights of sleep there. The location is a little on the outskirts of the city (a big benefit of which is that it's very tranquil), and although I had to travel into the city centre to work most days of my stay, it was pleasant and straightforward by fairly reliable Sheffield public transport. Maggi was a wonderful, accommodating and generous host and the vegetarian breakfasts she provided were wonderful.

Fabulous little B&B located in a beautiful part of Sheffield. Lovely room with everything you need. Maggie and Sam made us feel very welcome, and we enjoyed our morning chats over breakfast which was freshly made and delicious. Will definitely stay again 😊

Great stay here for the last couple of days. Really comfortable room and both Maggi and her husband were very friendly. Flossie the dog too! Stayed for work and the breakfast really set us up for a busy day. Location was also perfect. Would 100% recommend!

Location was beautiful part of urban Sheffield just bus ride from City centre and so close to stunning countryside for many good walks around the reservoirs. Breakfast (veg) was available on request with even homemade preserves and every effort to make you feel welcome .. Really welcoming lovely experience to stay there..

A lovely location, very quite area. The accommodation was fantastic. Very warm welcome when we arrived , very friendly. Breakfast was excellent. Suggested a place for us to eat and it was excellent. Highly recommend staying at Maggi's Home from Home, it is a gorgeous place. We stayed 2 nights.
