Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWe booked a family room and had to make up the bed, I at least expected the sheets to be on the pillows and duvet! The box where these were stored was not clean, had dust and hairs in the bottom! Cobwebs were in every corner of our apartment and dusty ones so definitely old and furniture was not moved for cleaning! Cigarette butts were left on our balcony. Attention to detail really let it down.
Beautiful place with a view. Pool area clean tidied and well maintained. Friendly staff. Big room with plenty of space.

United KingdomAlthough we had on our booking that we were staying with a toddler our apartment was on the top floor of the block which wasn't great for carrying everything up the stairs.
We stayed as a couple with a toddler in one of the 2 bed apartments and the space was excellent. The pool facilities are good& very much needed as the weather wasn't great during our stay. Less than a 5 minute drive into Lymington.

United KingdomThe lady checking us in, seemed like we we’re inconveniencing her, there was another lady checking someone else In, who was lovely but ours seemed rushed and also asked me if I was sure my name was correct which I thought odd.
The location and grounds and the apartments, they were spacious and clean. The swimming pool was fantastic and lovely and warm. We were very grateful our little boy could use it too. He had an amazing time.

United KingdomUndoubtedly the accommodation can be criticised for not being upgraded and some rooms need a total refurbishment (pressure of water /carpets replaced etc) Manor House 23 for example and also too much unnecessary furniture which clutters the apartment
We have stayed many times over the years at Elmers Court - we love the location/grounds/pool facilities and it’s architecture

United KingdomThe mattress's in the room were so hard that they were extreamly uncomfortable, causing a bad night's sleep and aches and pains the following day. The dimmer switch in the room didn't work. Some of the milk was off. The drinks in the bar are over priced, these are soft drinks as one small coke was £4.30 which seems excessive. Finally I strongly advise putting warning hit water signs in the bathrooms as the water can come out scalding hot and without that warning if a guest were to suffer any thermal injuries you could be held liable for negligence.
The staff were very professional, attentive and friendly. Parking was free. There was access to the spa facilities. The building and grounds were beautiful. Christmas decorations were nice. Food was excellent. Venue was clean. Room was cleaned while out visiting family.

United KingdomThe breakfast was very expensive for what it was, as it was a buffet breakfast. And the Room could have had a few shortbread biscuits or something to go with the Tea and Coffee as we where quite peckish upon our arrival Friday night
Lovely Location and property, Pool and Spa facilities where Tidy and the staff where very helpful. John who was Scottish and ran the Bar was incredibly helpful and really took his time to make us feel welcome. He is a great asset to the Venue!

United KingdomSince it's winter, the restaurants did not keep the same hours as I understand it wasn't so busy. But it was a bit tricky not to have access to food and coffee easily. The gym staff was not great. 2 différents staff member but couldn't be bothered to help or explain 😕
I love the manor and the grounds! Peaceful and beautiful. Spacious room, good location. Reception & spa staff were great!

United KingdomWhilst it offered decent value by including the facilities, the living space felt somewhat tired in the cottage we stayed in, which was a little disappointing. The photo of the advertised bedroom looked higher spec (I saw a disclaimer after booking), so would advise managing expectations. Breakfast was delicious but £20 p/p felt high.
Facilities are great- sauna & pool v welcome. Setting is delightful. Great to have a self-contained property to cook in. I think the rate we paid was fair compared to other local options- hard to get pool and sauna at this the price.

United KingdomOur bed was too hard so I found it difficult to sleep. The dining facilities (restaurant, cafe and bar take-away meals) felt over-priced. We would have liked to eat more in the hotel but it was expensive.
We liked the facilities (swimming pool, pitch and putt, putting, squash court). The outdoor pool and tennis court also looked great but it was raining so we didn't use them. The location overlooking the Solent was lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful.

United KingdomWe had the self catering this time. 4D 3N. Would it be too much to link the teabags and coffee sachets and/or milk tubs with the number of days? 2 adults over 4D should be 8 sachets of coffee and teabags for example .
This is our third time at the hotel. Love the location, the grounds, the facilities and the friendly staff
