A little light on instructions for the heating, rubbish, fire ash and the sharp knives were a little blunt but all minor quibbles.

Lovely cosy place with a really comfortable bed and hot shower. Location ideal for walking to Lydford Gorge and exploring Dartmoor generally. There was parking opposite the front but also a free car park just down the road opposite the pub which was excellent. Super gluten free options and good ales on offer! Really sad we had to leave!

Only thing was missing is more time there.

A wonderful place to stay both from perspective of location as well as the accommodation. Beautifully decorated little barn with absolutely everything that is needed. All private as well. Nice enclosed garden that kept our puppy safe and happy. Favourite features were log burner and wooden floor upstairs. Perfectly clean as well and even had luxury bed sheets.

Perfect little cosy cottage/ barn. Just right for hiding from the world and gloomy weather but also in a great location for walking and day trips out to various places. The Castle Inn pub down the road was fantastic. Dog friendly and does a great steak. Lydford Gorge is stunning.

Bed was a little to firm for me but that’s just personal to what I like

It was home from home, had literally everything you needed and more, all you need to take is your clothes. It’s was cosy, exceptionally clean, log burner is amazing….just perfect! If you love walking it’s perfect with a beautiful local pub 2 minutes walk away with fantastic food. Will definitely be going back! 🙂

Great location and outstanding hosts! Very close to a number of walking routes which was the main reason we visited Dartmoor. Kim and Geoff were great hosts and were always on hand to answer any questions we had. I would highly recommend staying here if you are planning on visiting the area.

I had a wonderful few days break here at Lydonia Barn. It was easy to find with the directions given even in the dusk light. I met Kim whilst off-loading my car and walking through to the barn, she's lovely and is always ready to help out in any way if you've questions, or an issue arises. The barn itself is tucked away from the road, has a lovely little garden, which was too wet and cold for me to make the most of. Inside it is just so gorgeous, cosy and inviting. The photos didn't do it justice for me, it's so much nicer. I had everything I needed for my stay and Kim left some food and drink items which was a lovely touch. The barn is so clean. The sofa is comfortable to relax on. The kitchen had everything I needed. The fire was a lovely touch to have going at night-time, just felt great being in there all cosy and warm whilst the weather wasn't too friendly outside at times. The bed was really large and comfy, and the bathroom which is ensuite is perfect. No bath but a fantastic shower. Lydford is a lovely village with plenty of walks right on your doorstep, and The Castle Inn is definitely worth a visit for a meal there. The barn is based in a good location for so many places to visit. For me, I can't fault anything. I truly hope to return. Thank you for everything Kim and Geoff.
