The property was very clean, comfortable and well-equipped. On arrival we had a bottle of wine waiting for us and a card with recommendations of things to do in the local area. The hot tub was wonderful!

It was easy to find, beautiful quirky lodge with so many lovely personal touches. Pub within walking distance and the hot tub was great.

More towels would be good as was a 2 night stay, but I could’ve called Dan to get some (they are very on the ball and attentive) but wasn’t really an issue as we’d also brought some with us.

Loved everything. From the finer details from hosts on pre arrival and on arrival, they made us feel so welcome. Really secluded and gated entrance which means your lodge is completely private and quiet. Had everything you could need in the lodge. Hot tub was fabulous and the outside patio area was great at night. Lots of space to chill. We really enjoyed our stay.

The only down side was the lack of internet/phone signal, but it can't be helped!

WiFi is non-existent - all devices connected to the WiFi immediately with no issue, but then it wasn’t possible to access the internet. Had to come off WiFi to get internet access via very slow 3G. Apart from that everything was perfect

Perfect location for a get away to celebrate our anniversary. The Lodge was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Nice and private, surrounded by trees with a hot tub, little summer house and seating area outside. We loved our stay and plan to return.

Mogs and Dan were very informative and kind The added touches were so thoughtful. Absolutely loved our Stay it is a little piece of heaven. Perfect in every way. Couldn't ask for more. Fantastic.

Nothing to not like.

Great stay for a couple looking for a chilled out, relaxing, super clean place with hot tub. Very private. Loved the hot tub. Bed was very comfortable and the whole place was just lovely. First day we chilled in the lodge and hot tub with beer and Prosecco and ate dinner at the Plough. Can highly recommend, the food was lovely and 10% discount was added bonus. Second day we visited Alton Towers which was good fun but we looked forward to our return to go in the hot tub and relax our aching legs. Games and books were to hand in the cupboard but we just didn’t get time… we spent ages in the tub talking and reminiscing ❤️ it was our 22nd wedding anniversary and our hosts had kindly left us a card and bottle of cava which was very nice, kind and unexpected touch. Shower was good. Robes were provided, hairdryer too. You could easily cook a meal in the kitchenette and whilst small it has everything needed. We didn’t cook though as we ate out and had snacks and goodies for the evening. Super stay and highly recommended. We thought it exceptional value for money.

Absolutely amazing in the most perfect beautiful relaxing place, the little details was so touching. To the welcome card and wine to, how the towels was folded made it so much more welcoming. Me and my husband took a murderer mystery game and was perfect place to do this, The hot tub was absolutely amazing and was so relaxing. our French bulldog Gizmo loved his little getaway to and slept alot due to pure relaxation.

Booked this as a weekend away for my partner's 30th, Dan and Mogs had set up the lodge with a banner, got her a card and bottle of wine, as well as a few extras I had asked for. The whole property is amazing, secluded with a lovely walk around. The hot tub is a must even though it was raining it didn't impact our weekend. I would definitely stay here again and will be recommending it to anyone who is looking for a little weekend away for a relaxing time.

Everything was perfect!! We felt at home as soon we arrived and we’re happy though out the whole stay. When we first walked in there was wine in the living room and sweets in the bedroom. The small details really make the stay. The hot tub was great as well as the rest of the outside space. We would love to come back one day!!

The decking probably needs a look at, very slippery and bits of wood coming off. But the decked area as a whole was really nice.

Really secure gated entrance, secluded woodland lodge surrounded by woods. Great facilities inside, the hosts were very thoughtful, left hand writted cards welcoming us, along with a bottle of wine. We just loved it there, jacuzzi was amazing, and you really felt relaxed and with one with nature. We will come again, when its not raining for 2days straight lol

Break away wasn't long enough
