I would have like a lock on the bedroom door as it was my and my son in a hose with two other man. Anyone could go into the room at any point so would have been happier with a lock. We got round it but it would have made it more comfortable.

I love staying at this house. It was a great room. The house was very clean and tidy. The host was very kind and talked to us. He told a what was going on. It was a great place to stay for Alton tower being Alf a hour drive away.

I wasn't informed there were cats living in the house, which was an issue, plus there was no lock on our bedroom door which also caused an issue. Both issues have been raised both at the time & also on our return home & Matthew has resolved both issues as far as I'm aware.

Excellent facilities. Comfortable, extremely clean, spacious double room with stunning views. Plenty of storage space. Full use of kitchen & laundry facilities. Ideal location for Alton Towers & surrounding areas.

* update* ***************************************************************************************** I am adding to this review due to abuse from the host! I private messaged the host to tell him that I was going to inform booking.com of the very unfair and rude response to my very honest and fair review! The host then Replied to me with an awful insult" I have proof of this and happy to share! Just to Add in response to the hosts reply.... 1 the hair brush he is referring to was already in the room when I arrived, I put it in a drawer out of the way and there was no issue! It was not my hair brush and 2, in regards to leaving my room a mess? I had made the beds and left 1 bag of rubbish next to the bin in my room so that I did not have to walk past the Rats in the utility room to access the bins in the back garden! The host has stated that I live on junk food and crisps which was rude in its self, I can only assume the host had been into my room when I was not there ( no locks on he doors so more than likely) and saw crisps and chocolate in my room! that does not mean I live on them! *************************************************************************************** The photos on here are deceiving (sorry) the rest of the house wasn't as clean as I expected and definitely not up to my standards of clean! Not luxury! The fact that there wasn't a lock on my room door was also off putting! There was a weird smell throughout the house which I can only assume was from the rats/mice (in cages) which were living in a room next to the kitchen! If I'd have known about these I wouldn't have stayed here! I had booked for 3 nights and obviously could have left earlier but I had days out planned in the area for my daughter so had to follow through so I didn't ruin her weekend and I had already paid for the room! Sorry to say I would not stay here again,

The only good thing about this property was the View from the bedroom window!! Please read my full review before booking this property.
