There was no view of the River from this apartment.

A very clean apartment. The rooms were nice and the facilities were very good and everything was in good working condition. The location was ideal for Ballater centre.

Shame had no view, no freezer, one of lamps in bedroom didn't work (not bulb issue), tin opener needs replacing!

Lovely little apartment perfect for a short break.my family are from Ballater and nice to stay in the monaltrie after eating here when it was a hotel/restaurant years ago.

As it happened, it snowed quite heavily when I was there, and getting my car up the ramp from the parking area was a problem once or twice! The dining chairs fold away to save space, but they're not very comfortable to sit on, and I need to sit at a table to use my computer. But those are small issues and there's nothing you can do about snow in Scotland! A grit bin might help (there was one outside the apartment block but it was empty).

Good information was provided about location, parking and getting the keys. Parking is underneath the building, so it's dry and out of public view. The apartment is spacious and comfortable, with good heating, wifi and kitchen. The main double bed is huge and very comfortable. Ballater is a pleasant large village with an excellent bakery, modern Co-op, petrol station, several cafes and pubs, some open even in the middle of winter. It's only 20 min to Braemar, on a good road. The location is quiet and safe, and there was no noise in the apartment. There's a neat cantilevered coffee table, a kind I haven't seen before.

Everything was lovely about the apartment-though checkout at 10 - I feel wee bit early - no negatives about the apartment itself though was brilliant and very clean throughout

Location was brilliant just a 2 minute walk into town centre - apartment was self catering so no supplies there - you made your own breakfast and dinner - so we brought some of our own food and things like teabags sugar milk bread cereal etc we purchased from the local coop and also snacks and stuff for dinner or we went out for dinner - was good we had the choice to stay indoors for dinner if we were tired after hillwalking or decide to go out for dinner if we felt like it - had 2 bathrooms which was a bonus plus lovely and warm - was perfect - rooms not looking onto River Dee but when you walked round back River Dee was there and was lovely

The location is great just on the edge Ballater and on the river bank. House was warm, very clean and comfy. I cannot recommend it enough. Loved our stay. You will not be disappointed if you book this place.
