Beautiful location. Very peaceful with amazing views. Easy to get to Rothbury, which has everything you need. Not far from the Coast or Inland too. The cottage itself is gorgeous. Deceptively spacious, well equipped and comfortable. The bed and bath were amazing!! We both had the best nights sleep ever! The patio is an added bonus which we luckily managed to make use of. Communication with the owners was exellent too.

These are easily 'fixable' things, but a blind/curtain in the lounge and kitchen that can be completely closed for privacy would be good, and the Bathroom towels 'have seen better days' and unfortunately lower the excellent standard of the accommodation.

'Little Heatherlea' is a cosy apartment providing most of the essentials needed for a comfortable stay. Our host was friendly and greeted us on arrival. The information booklet was informative with restaurants and things to do around Rothbury. The highlight for us was having a 'King' double bed, which made getting a great night's sleep possible.

Nothing to the detriment. Walk back up hill from town, but not the properties fault, took it easy about 15 mins.

Great Location very good, close to the town. Easy access to walks right on the doorstep. Good views over the hillsides. Good facilities, comfy and cosy, had everything we needed. Very quiet. Hosts were super friendly and welcoming. Would definatly recommend and revisit.

There wasn’t any hand soap in the bathroom until we found some under the sink and with bookings like this there does tend to be body wash in the shower that felt it was a miss. As we had a very warm weekend, it was also a shame that we couldn’t have our own ice as there’s no freezer compartment in the fridge but the owners did let us have some from their house.

An amazing location and such a nice space inside with a very comfortable bed. Appreciated a well stocked kitchen also! We were in the perfect location to view the northern lights this weekend!

Very hilly area so as it was raining there were lots of muddy puddles but that can't be helped, just bring your wellies and be prepared to drive through big puddles haha

An excellent property in great location for exploring Upper Coquetdale. Well equipped cottage with some nice personal touches such as the wide selection of books which we enjoyed browsing. The information on the history of the house greatly was appreciated. The bed was very comfortable and probably was the biggest I have ever slept in. Great walks from the door. Including easy access on to the National Trust's Cragside Estate. Only 5 minutes walk to village.

We do not like synthetic bedding and would have preferred feather pillows but we do understand that we are probably unusual!

This comfortable cottage was an ideal base from which to explore an interesting area. The kitchen was well equipped; the bed was very large and comfortable; lighting throughout was good; and the host was very friendly and obliging. It was good to have on-site parking. There was outside seating and it was quiet overnight. The village of Rothbury provided for our shopping needs including fresh artisan bread.

Accommodation was clean and well appointed.All mod cobs.Had everything we needed.Bed was large and comfy,S hower was powerful,big towels (always appreciated) and oh joy! A bath.A lovely patio area for al fresco meals with a view over the valley.Location was within 10min walk of the town and 30m walk to Cragside NT.Nice little parking spot beside the apartment.Plenty. of books and local info available and a lovely OS map of the area on the wall Great hosts,friendly and helpful.Very helpful directions to the property made finding it easy.Thankyou Adele and Ben
