The only downside was the boot and shoe store being a little way from the door. We were more than happy to not wear shoes inside, but the boot store could do with being close enough to reach from the door or a shelter over the doorway. It was pouring with rain and dark when we arrived so we ended up getting wet and getting muddy socks when making sure we followed the no shoe rule. A very small issue, and perhaps there was a better system we could have used! But it did dampen the arrival a little. Don't avoid the barn because of this, just bring a pair of sliders to slip on to grab your boots :)

We had a lovely new year stay at Little Barn! The location was perfect, rural and with lovely views and the barn was warm cosy with great facilities like toiletries, and plenty of kitchen equipment. As mentioned in other reviews there were lots of little touches to make the stay feel very special!

Absolutely nothing.

The accommodation and location were stunning - the little details were unexpected which made the stay even more special. The host was attentive yet allowed privacy throughout the stay.

Booked the little barn as a surprise for my partners 60th. The barn exceeded any expectation, beautiful, immaculate and everything you need for a home from home stay . The views were absolutely stunning and the little added touches made our stay special. Thank you Julia We wiill definitely return

Fantastic location with open views over the Manifold Valley and lots of outdoor space. Comfortable and well designed accommodation in a tiny space with everything we needed and a few added luxuries.

The only thing for us was my poor 6ft5 husband and having a double rather than a king-size bed, but to be honest, this is a common occurrence for us, wherever we stay.

Absolutely everything you could need the barn had and much much more the cooking facilities where top notch. We were left alone the whole weekend, we had contact details if we needed them but as we had come for a complete rest this was perfect for us. We have come home completely rested, with fantastic memories, we will definitely be recommending place to friends!

Not necessarily a dislike but a small hot tub would allow that extra touch but understand the way the property is laid out this may be easier said than done, otherwise perfect.

A lovely stay & very handy for our Art course at Bullclough which is only 6 minutes away. Directions easy to follow & the barn is lovely, cosy & has everything you need for a perfect stay - note to hosts - when hot the complimentary marshmallows merge into one giant marshmallow in the box outside!

I absolutely loved my stay here. The host replied quickly and politely, the property had everything you would need plus a few treats left by the host. it was extremely clean and had beautiful decor.

We read about the water tank and we’re smart using the hot water but still would have preferred hotter water for the shower.

felt like a very cosy and romantic place to stay as soon as we walked in. All the facilities in the kitchen were great for such a small barn.

Can’t think of anything

A snug retreat that was modern yet cosy, was beautifully furnished to a high standard with good welcoming touches. We were kept well informed throughout our stay. Parking was good with a great private garden. We had a very enjoyable stay and would highly recommend
