We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

The hotel its self is absolutely beautiful.. the staff was all friendly and made sure we was happy through out our stay.. the food was incredible.. will definitely be going back but with a better plan in mind as to what to do out side the area as the location there isn’t much there.. very few open shops and attractions about.. all round happy though

When we arrived we were immediately offered a ground floor room as the receptionist could see that my husband used a stick and that stairs might be difficult for him. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our evening meal was enjoyable and we couldn't believe the incredible value of the breakfast and also the wide choice on offer. Overall, we were very happy with our overnight stay and would certainly highly recommend 'The Lion Hotel: to others. Thank you!

United KingdomNothing really, rooms could maybe do with a little paint touch up here and there but most hotels can. A little old school decor wise in the standard rooms but we loved our stay here. Surroundings not so great, a little run down but not the hotels fault.
Excellent staff, lovely restaurant with great breakfast and super generous with the complimentary continental when you buy a cooked option. Free parking. Easy to find and perfect for linking to other parts of Nottinghamshire etc. very clean and tidy.

United KingdomA pity they felt the need to add a £25 upfront charge in case of damage, which wasn’t mentioned on the booking. The towel rail in the bathroom was burning hot and couldn’t be turned off which was unhelpful on a warm night. Most disappointing was the lasagne (served in the restaurant) which was terrible. It had no structure, very little evidence of meat, bechamel or pasta and was almost entirely passata and mozzarella, as though the topping of a huge pizza had been scraped into the dish.
Very central location with good parking. They have a bar, a restaurant with a broad range of meals, and a well-priced breakfast which also had a good range of options. Clean, well maintained room with a good bed, decent tea and coffee facilities, and a working TV.
