Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Really comfortable hotel in a wonderful location . Literally 100 metres from a park alongside river which has a beautiful walk to the city past Cardiff Castle . Parking on site was a plus which meant we could leave the car and stroll into Cardiff city centre . Room was comfortable and the hotel had a lovely Victorian charm . A couple of local pubs a short stroll up road were perfect for dinner . Would stay again .

United StatesThe gentleman at the front desk was great! I was on crutches and unable to carry our suitcases up the stairs. He carried them so my wife did not have to. We were catching a train early in the morning and had requested an early breakfast. We realized that we had more time the next morning and did not go to breakfast early. He was concerned that we might miss our train and knocked on the door to make sure we were awake.

United KingdomI booked a two night stay here as I had a conference at the nearby cricket ground. You could walk there in less than five minutes. The room was ideal for what I needed, and very clean. I got the sense that the hotel is family run, and some of the kids help serve breakfast which I thought was very sweet. Breakfast was great considering the price; all the options you would expect, served promptly with generous portions. I would definitely stay here again.

I liked the Hotel very much the staff were friendly, polite and helpful and very approachable. The room was comfortable and clean, I slept very well in there. The location was very good very close to Bute Park and the City centre, I didn`t have to walk very far to get to either.

The location from the town, the fact it had a private car park. The staff were wonderful polite and very helpful. The room was was clean and had all the amenities in it that we needed. Breakfast in the morning was excellent and had plenty of choice from cereals cooked breakfasts with a vegetarian choice including soya milk. Will definitely be staying here again
