The property was well stocked so had everything we needed. The beds were co for table and the bedrooms roomy with large walk in closets in both. It was working walking distance of Puzzlewood, and other activities were only a very short drive away.

A secured area to be able to let our dogs out without having to put them on a lead Just a little fenced off area would have been perfect and easier.

We really loved our stay at Liberty Lodge! The lodge is very spacious, comfortable and clean, and extremely well equipped. We received a very warm welcome from the owner. Liberty Lodge is a really lovely spacious holiday home. The owner put everything you would need into the lodge, even salt and pepper. We will return again.

The location is perfect for great 🐕 walks. A lovely walk 2 minutes from the lodge. It is quieter than other lodges as only 3 are rented out. That's what I REALLY liked about it and the owners of the lodges were soooo welcoming 😊. I will definitely go back. Excellent condition lodge which was very clean and plenty of bedding etc. Also less than 10 minute walk to 2 great eateries. The Miners Sling and Orepool Inn ❣️

Perfect location , close to all the main attractions such as Perry grove railway , Puzzle-wood and the Forest of Dean and clearwell caves . Tina and Steve have added everything you could need to make your stay comfortable and easy! The little touches really make it a home from home . There is even a football pitch opposite which my children loved to play in!

The gravel road!

The lodge is beautifully situated at the entrance to the Scarr Bandstand. It’s in a gated secure secluded site along with a small number of other lodges. It’s a beautiful area to explore with places of historical importance and the town of Coleford a few minutes drive away. The lodge is a lovely clean, comfortable place with every facility that is needed. Many of the lodges are permanent homes and the people we met were exceptionally friendly. Tina, the owner of the lodge, was lovely and greeted us with warmth and advice on what to do and see. The Forest of Dean is an outstanding area of natural beauty and we can recommend this holiday lodge as a fantastic base from which to explore.

Lodge is in a great location for exploring the area and a real home from home to relax in at end of day. Kitchen is really well appointed. Lodge was spotlessly clean, as were the bed linen and the towels. Great to have decent sized bath towels too. Entrance porch was a real bonus when weather was wet.

Everything was perfect, Tina was very helpful and met us on time, the lodge was spotlessly clean and had everything that we needed It was set in a quiet park close to the woods so perfect for walking our dogs. Highly recommended and we will definitely be returning

Perfect for me and my family - clean and tidy and Tina was super friendly and easy to contact.

Spacious and comfy with all the things you would need. Even had a washing machine and a dishwasher, with tablets supplied. Tina met us there and talked us through everything we needed to know. It's also close to a garage and a supermarket and easy driving distance from places like RSPB Nagshead and Symmond Yat Rock.
