The bathroom had a couple of hairs under the sink. The changing rooms in the leisure centre needed a little attention. Just general ware and tear. I think the hotel is like a maze as its so big. And it seems like the reception is in the wrong part of the hotel. I wasn't keen on the layout but that is just personal preference. Although the big size meant that even during peak school holidays, it never felt overcrowded, and you rarely bumped into other families, which was a positive for me. The jacuzzi wasn't working on my 2nd night, which was a shame as I was looking forward to using it again. Also, the steam room and sauna only seemed to be hot in certain parts where you sat. I would have preferred a fridge in my room.

The receptionist supervisor was very friendly. I think her name was Abbie and the lady who worked in Triumph Bar and Grill called Abbie also provided great customer service. I liked the pool itself and the music playing around the hotel in general was nice and calming. The hotel is very spacious with many areas you can chill or relax in; outside of your bedroom. There is a nice little lake with features on the grounds, which is nice to walk near or relax around on the grass or seating area if the weather permits. The room maids were very friendly and helpful and greeted you everyday.

No aircon in our room but there was a good fan so we didn’t feel hot.

Lovely rooms with crisp clean sheets. The hotel environment is luxurious and immaculately clean. The staff are very helpful and friendly. There was a very good variety of foods for breakfast and there is a separate area of foods with a separate toaster for gluten free guests. The parking is good and secured with a code operated barrier. The code is changed daily.

Few things here sadly. Carpet was a mess. Poorly fitted with large lumps etc. Flush was constantly filling. Sink was blocked and took ages to drain. No air con which is surprising for a 4 star hotel. Gave us a fan which didn't work but left plugged in and randomly came on/off during night. Staff in the triumph bar were poor. V slow, not attentive. Poorly trained, even comical.

Marco Pierre restaurant was very good. The room size was also good.

We were told we had to book swim sessions. We tried to book one on the day we arrived but were told full capacity by Liby and she would call if anything became available. I emphasised how excited our toddler was and that we would stay ready. We never heard anything. Later on, my husband popped down at that time to book a session for the following day and found the pool to be quite empty and then were told the swim session would end soon so we couldn't come now as too late. Which was quite disappointing as one of the main reasons we booked the hotel was the indoor heated pool. So i just make sure you book the swim sessions in advance.

Lovely clean hotel. We found the staff really friendly and check in was really easy. In particular there was a lovely staff member working at the bar/resturant (sorry i forgot his name). Breakfast was lovely too. We also were lucky to get a slightly late check out - much appreciated thank you

One of the senior staff members was quite awful to other staff members and the worn down look on their faces said it all. He was really abrupt, unnecessarily, and spoke down to the staff and in front of customers. The staff themselves were helpful and polite so there was really no need for his manner (and one of the staff actually said, that is how he speaks to them all the time). Maybe needs addressing by management, very poor.

Lovely spacious room, comfortable bed, very modern. Hotel itself was big, had a nice quiet area for those needing to do work. Bar and restaurant area nice, with small outside section (although the rattan furniture didn't have cushions). Nice food, reasonably priced, good breakfast with lots of choice of hot and cold foods. Ample free parking, easy to find hotel.

Possible Cons? The view from the room was the back of a housing estate and an amazon warehouse - I didn't care, I was too busy enjoying the great room. I did the express checkout, pointed out by a receptionist so I didnt have to wait - great, but then had to drive back to reception when I realised I didn't have a code to get out of the car park. Slightly annoying but I'll forgive it since I had such a great stay :)

Firstly attitude of receptionist around 2.00 pm, we saw other people booking in but not us, finally after sitting in reception for over an hour room was ready

Tired and broken furniture outside and the area outside was full of cigarette butt's on the floor

Lasagne in the Triumph was poor, didnt complain at the time as it was very busy. It's was watery and tasteless and to be honest my partner suffered badly the next day. It was clean and tidy, comfortable beds and the staff were happy and helpful.
