Downstairs carpet was old and worn out

The bar food is a little uninspired and not that great - this is based on our experience this year and last year. It can get a little noisy at night if there are folks chatting in the central foyer where all the rooms lead off.

Breakfast was good and plentiful. The rooms were nice and the bed was super-comfy.

People stood outside my room with phones on speaker phone late at night. If triumph bar is busy they can't cope especially when then have to deal with room service calls as well! Generator hummy outside window all night.

All the bars close really early. This place has lots of functions going off. So when they close the bars everyone has to still listen to others partying. Spa access. You have to pre book to avoid over crowding. However the swimming pool had been booked out to families only which is understandable however this also means no access to sauna, steam room or Gym during this time.

Free parking, reasonably priced, free access to spa/swimming pool. Great location really nice building.

The toilet gradually stopped emptying during our 1 night stay. I resorted to using the communal toilets along the corridor. Talking to a cleaner the next morning it seemed a more widespread issue. I reported the issue at checkout.

On arrival we were upgraded to a Executive Room, which was huge. Thanks Although there were a couple of large events on with discos, our room remained very quiet, which was great. All staff were pleasant and helpful.

Swimming pool overcrowded, loads of jumping to the water kids.

The executive room was clean, good size with comfy beds. The swimming pool is warm and nice.

Net curtain was unhooked hanging down, looked scruffy, someone else's sliders had been left in the room, TV didn't tune in properly, iron had lost its nonstick and didn't work properly, ironing board cover too thin and uneaven couldn't iron. Bath very small.

Bed really comfy, bathroom nice with of plenty hot water, room great size, furnishings good.

One of the quilt covers was clean but stained from some past occurrence, we got round it by turning the quilt around.

Snacks ordered in bar area were very poor in both selection and what was supplied. Complained and returned meals but had to pay for tea which was till unfinished and chips which we didnt have

What staff there were, were very good. But not nearly enough for our event, the bar staff were good, but there should have been twice the number for the number of guests.

The swimming pool and hot tub have FAR too much chlorine. It made my eyes sting as soon as I entered the room. I couldn't breathe in the hot tub due to the fumes, which also made my eyes stream profusely.

Two double beds in the family room was great, and lots of space. Easy parking, and convenient onsite food options. Hotel staff seem well trained and friendly. Chaz at the Triumph was great and doing everything to keep customers happy, but the food and bar staff weren't great.

Surprisingly, nothing I can complain about. Maybe the restaurant pricelist was quite on the high side. But it was easier to swallow than the sister Leonardo hotel in Amsterdam that I returned from, a week before this.

The room was vast! I honestly didn't expect it to be that big. I understand it was an Executive Room which was a nice upgrade on the standard double room that I originally booked. It was very comfortable indeed so I had a good sleep. The restaurant was busy when I visited it for dinner. I was able to obtain a table after waiting on a waiter to clear and clean it. Reception was very helpful with a request about breakfast. In the end, it was not necessary but the fact they bent over backwards was appreciated.

Everything was as described - no unpleasant surprises or surcharges. A lovely place to stay.

The hotel was clean, with friendly staff and a comfortable room. The breakfast buffet was excellent - substantial - and really helped to get the day off to a great start.
