Both apartments are tastefully decorated, with pretty much everything you need. Tea, coffee and milk were supplied. Parking at the property for one car per apartment and easy access to local pubs, one within walking distance. We went to Layer Marney Tower for a wedding and it’s only 2.5 miles away, which was perfect. Both bathrooms are super clean and great showers. Very private and very nice and quiet. We needed an iron and Karen supplied this.

The location was perfect at only a few miles from the wedding venue. Our host Karen was fantastic - nothing too much trouble and the communications were excellent. The place was spotlessly clean and comfortable.

Could have done with a couple of smaller cups for espresso coffee? Only a minor observation as the apartment was well equipped.

Excellent stay at Lauriston. Cartlodge was very comfortable with nice modern decor and equipped to a high standard. Definitely beats staying in a hotel. Karen and Neil were perfect hosts.

The secret garden, a delight, was a wonderful place to sit, soak in the atmosphere and beauty, drink tea and contemplate. The room was excellent, well fitted out, amazingly clean and the bathroom superb in every way, down to the squeegee.

We booked two properties described as self catering I believe. One of which didn’t have any cooking facilities and tiny fridge. This didn’t matter in our case as we joined forces to eat and store breakfast stuff. Some extra external chairs would have been useful for this. Beds we’re rather small for us but we are used to super king. Could do with bottle opener, wine glasses and scissors.

Blinds and glass in the 'front door' did not darken room so early morning light kept us awake. Wasn't sure why there were bottles of tap water in the room - were we not supposed to drink the tap water in the room?

Clean, warm and comfortable with lovely decor. The mini 'kitchen' including the small fridge was a bonus. Nice and private room with comfortable seating area. A real hidden gem.

Shrubs on the access drive need trimming back!

Immaculate decoration of the room and shower room. Table and chairs in the small outdoor yard were appreciated. All of the fittings, crockery, furniture etc. was like new.

A blackout blind would be handy for one of the windows.

Cute little outdoor seating area. Lovely to open the door, sit outside and hear the birds tweeting. Private. Room very clean and tidy. Easy to check in and out. Property beautifully maintained. Easy walk to a pleasant country pub for dinner.
