Only slight gripe to get to gold standard was dinner service initially could have been quicker. Sat with no drinks for 2 mins. I try get than that super good.

Everything was to a fabulous standard overall. Food was amazing, rooms super comfy, staff so friendly and setting incredible.

I wouldn’t say didn’t like, but I would have preferred a buffet style breakfast for the first course. Fresh fruit & pastry’s on our tray were very limited . I like a selection of bread for toast & prefer it freshly made. I also enjoy granola with my yogurt. However the cooked breakfasts & beverages were excellent. My husband & I chose differently for our Evening meal , everything was Delicious

Very nice, spacious room, with 4-poster bed. Superb view of lake and surrounding countryside. Nice individual balcony with seating too. Outstanding breakfast service - far better than most and very individual, including excellent vegetarian option. Plenty of parking.

That there was no swimming pool in the spa facilities (the hot tub bath did made up for lack of swimming pool though), and the lack of food choices in the main restaurant - there were not many options that I would have gone for (the one option steak that I liked the sound of was exceptional though!). On the second night, I drove out for about 30 minutes and found a fabulous inn called ‘The Stumble Inn’ - scrumptious homemade food from the starters through to the pudding!!! I would highly recommend this!!

Food not great , breakfast was only OK. No choice of breads . Only packaged white and brown. Bacon very thick and undercooked. Muffin was not toasted so very dense and unappealing.

The hotel’s location is amazing, with beautiful views of the lake especially at sunset, and the local bird populations are incredible. The hotel itself is lovely with a real ‘family-run’ vibe, in a large but tranquil setting and very generous accommodation and food. The spa was great too! But the staff are what really made our stay special, so much so that we have decided to make it a regular family getaway spot! Thank you Lake Vyrnwy Hotel!

It's a beautiful building and place but the decor is now looking very tired and could do with refreshing. Including a new mattress in room 36!! It's a shame we weren't allocated a four poster we requested, as it was a special birthday treat.😥 We did have stunning views over the lake from our balcony though.😊
