United KingdomTim and Karen are truly wonderful hosts - from the moment we arrived, greeted with offer of drinks (and delicious ginger flapjack!) through to our departure, we were treated almost as old friends such is the warm nature of the hosts. The house is beautifully presented with lovely front gardens (eating the delicious breakfast outside, weather permitting, is a great way to start the day), and located in a peaceful area, whilst still easy to reach main points of interest. We can't wait to return in the future and wouldn't hesitate recommending to anyone - thank you both!

Great location right by Bassenthwaite Lake. Lovely room, very comfy bed. Everything could want provided for - toiletries, teas and coffee etc Fantastic range of breakfast options, all very tasty and made with lovely, fresh ingredients. Hosts were lovely , friendly and helpful with advice about area, but never intrusive.

Karen and Tim are the perfect, welcoming hosts and the guest house is completely charming. Greeted with a pot of tea and ginger cake on arrival, the standard of guest care never wavered. Breakfast is an event and the best we’ve had in our many weeks of travel. We booked the guest house based on the strength of its reviews and I’m pleased to say they were completely accurate.

United KingdomThe perfect cosy b&b! Room was clean, spacious and well decorated. Views were sunning and you are basically on the lake, so many sights and amenities close by. Breakfast was to die for, don’t know how I’ll cope without it! So filling and delicious. There is a huge variety of options- all wonderful. The hosts are so lovely and welcoming with nothing too much trouble. I will be recommending this place to everyone I know!
