Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Kingdomlike many of these type hotels quality of sleep is dependent on how noisy your “neighbours” are as soundproofing wasn’t a priority for the builders

GermanyThe room is extremely small. Like the whole city of London it is outrageously overpriced.
Pretty good located. Kings Cross / St. Pancras Station is just a 5 minute walk away.

United KingdomObviously really expensive for what you get, but cheap in the context of current London rates and for the location, which is excellent. No remote for my TV. Shower room pretty gross. Fine for a sleep after a night out.
Clean and decent size bed. Firm but not too firm so still comfy. Love the hassle-free check in/out. Great for the price by current London standards. Recommended if you need a place to crash in the King’s Cross area.

SpainIt was a bit expensive for the room value, but of course you pay for the location. If you're not so young, you might prefer to stay in a better room with better and larger bed and toilet.
The location right beside king's cross and st pancreas, near public transportation services and restaurants. The fun style of the hostel.

United KingdomVery small room, would be tight with 2 people. The rooms are worn so need a lick of paint and need some bits upgrading or fixing. My shower head was broken, which meant balancing it shoulder height or holding it. Also no lift and I was 3rd floor, or in the attic. Not fun with any heavy luggage as the stairs are very narrow.
Room located short walk from Kings Cross and St Pancras stations, so easy to get around. Had all the amenities that I needed.

United KingdomNarrow stairs and room at second floor with no lift and lots of bags, not ideal but this was mentioned on the original booking so we were aware.
Access to St Pancras station and easy self check in with good communication on text and email early in the day, well before checkin. Quiet and didn’t hear other guests coming and going. Hostel vibe and glad we had a ‘bathroom’ in the room, although would be a tight squeeze for a larger person, I wouldn’t have wanted to share a bathroom.

United KingdomThe room looked like it needed re painting but overall was okay. In room 70 there was a red light shining through the window all night on the outside of the property, the light just lit up the room and kept me awake all night
Was easy to get into and in a great location, like having a sink and kettle in the room. It felt very safe with the lock on the door and the toilet was clean

South AfricaBathroom is tiny. Room layout can be fixed, move the bed to the other wall and you'll have a lot more space at the entry point. Needs a little TLC but it is low budget, it met my expectations.
Location is great, few minutes walk from Kings Cross. 3 flights of stairs, thank God a very nice gentleman helped me with my luggage up to the top! Thank you!

United StatesThe room was really small, the shower and bathroom were shared and a little way off. The doors were unmarked. But most of all it was quite noisy but that was from other guests, and construction nearby, not the hotel itself. Some water in the room would have been perfect though.
The proximity to the train station. I really liked the knocker at the door and check-in was great at that time of the night for tired stranded people.
