Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Kingdomand a tiny fridge for one !! ... Therefore 'one bottle' per person staying there. Don't expect to leave more than this. Also on the day the toilet paper ran out and who knows where there is more until the cleaner arrives. If that was someone helping themselves to a roll meant for every one - who knows.
Several showers are available instead of only providing one. As the beds are in pods there is a separate area to chill and eat and use wi-fi. Plus kettle, microwave...

United KingdomPods were somehow smaller than expected, although fit 2 bigger people fine. Noise proofing definitely lacking but earplugs are provided for free. The pods definitely get very hot during the night and the provided fan did not work with the USB part of the plug socket inside the pod. Pods next to loud overground line which can be gotten used to but its a shock at first. Price is a bit more than I'd like personally due to faults but it is London so it's hard to properly complain.
The facilities were spot on with a computer, microwave, sink, fridge, multiple bathrooms and showers plus free towels/ soap. The aesthetic is unlike most hotels and feels very hand built which is interesting and I find feels nicer. Amazingly friendly and helpful staff. Decent location near multiple bus routes and shops. Vending machine in the communal area.

BelgiumNot ideal if you’re claustrophobic, spaces are a bit tight. Still a very good option for few days if you’re travelling solo. Just a few minutes walk to and from Hackney Central, so not too far from the city centre v.

United Kingdomthe USB port in my pod wasn't working, I contacted staff and they said they'd send someone the day after to sort it. That would've been after I checked out so wasn't helpful at all. it meant I couldnt charge my phone and power bank in the pod so had to hang around for longer than wanted in the morning to charge up in the communal area.
great value, the coffee machine/communal area was great!! pods were comfy, showers were great! would 100% stay again.

United KingdomA naked man (guest) walked through the shared space, absolutely disgusted, this is not the fault of the accommodation, assuming there are cameras in the open shared space I would expect him to be reprimanded.
Clean and compact with ample amenities

United KingdomCoffin like sleep space is just not for me. Locking of sleep space was difficult from inside (7 - lock not properly aligned) and impossible from outside. Sleep space light very temperamental. I've stayed in pod hotels before with a larger sleep spaces and been comfortable. This was just too small..
Incredibly low price for a London stay. Communal area.

NorwayThere was no breakfast provided, so I went down to Hackney Downs overground station, and had breakfast at the cafeteria there which was very pleasant. There was an electric fan provided hanging from the ceiling, but this did not work. I had the appropriate electric adapter to make it work, but it did not work, so you better get this fixed before its gets too hot for summer. Pod no. 12. In addition you could provide some additional hooks in the shower room for hanging clothes. Further you should inform customers in advance that they should bring a padlock, as this is required for hiding the suitcases or carrier bags.

New ZealandU can hear others in their pods getting in and out and phone alarms going, but all pretty quiet and expected. Would recommend ear plugs. Also pod gets warm so don't bring think PJs! I was also confused by the strict check in times so I came early to check in before going out again, but I actually didn't need to as it was self check in so could have at any time.
Great option for a budget stay. Mattress was comfort and everything was very clean and modern. Good location.

GermanyThe location is quite remote from all interesting points in London.
The facilities are clean, well equipped and organized. Privacy is very well respected since it's a Pod hotel, I like the idea of regulating the entrance after 9 p.m. although it's not ideal for people who like to explore the city at night or arriving late from a flight. Big plus: You get clean towels, blankets and ear plugs so you can have a pleasant stay.

United KingdomYou are sleeping in a wooden box. If you are expecting luxury here then go to a hotel.. if you require somewhere to put your head for the night at a very good price you'll be fine.
Booking.com let me downwind code to get in.. I rang the number on the front door and the fella on the phone sorted it straight away.. Nice and secure building with 2 key codes. Lift to the 2nd floor. Great kitchen dining area. Nice toilets and showers, both could have been a bit bigger but organise yourself and you'll be fine.. Fast WiFi..

United KingdomYou now need to pay for a padlock for the lockers (or bring your own) which is a little annoying. Good value stay but the prices are creeping up and any more than 40/50 quid and you'd be better finding a proper hotel. Warm.

SwedenThe sleep pod was very warm at night but as you only sleep there it's not that big of a deal.
Was very easy to come and go as you like and the check-in went smoothly. Very good communication from the staff beforehand led to an easy stay. The showers and restroom were in very good condition and clean. A very pleasant stay for a good price!
