Dirty balcony. No individual soap, shampoo etc even though I saw them on the chambermaids trolley and at that price point, I shouldn't have to ask for them. No pack in room regarding room service etc. Very firm bed but I guess that's down to preference. Synthetic hard pillows .

The room was nice and clean as were the communal areas. Very pleasant staff. Good breakfast although I disagree with having to pay extra for a cappuccino.

I wouldn’t say I didn’t like it but there were a few loose and uneven slabs on the path between reception and where I was pointed towards my room for the night.

A huge spread of buildings in well cared for grounds. Leisure facilities and a pub onsite which was great to relax and have a pampering session

The room was so very hot. we turned the thermostat down, but couldn't turn down the heated towel rail, which continued to blast out the heat! We ended up having the window, and for part of the night, the balcony door open to reduce the temperature, and gosh didn't it rain!

Lovely room with balcony and views over the beautiful garden. We had a spa session which was wonderfully relaxing and worth every penny. Dinner in the hotel was great. Buffet breakfast was good with plenty of staff their to help you find what you needed.

No USB points in room and decor very dated. Walls very thin, could hear other guests in their bathroom! More fruit choice at breakfast would be nice.

Great breakfast selection & great location in terms of if you want to visit different locations it's a good base in the middle. The pub does a great carvery. Spa treatments are fantastic.

The windows in the room were hard to close and one was unable to close properly. Without the good heating, it would have been very cold. We initially requested a quiet room but we were given a busy corner room on the ground floor, fortunately for us it was busy when we were out during the day. Otherwise, we would have requested to move. We enjoyed our spa treatments pre-booked, but didn't enjoy the pool and jacuzzi as it was busy with a wedding party and guests we weren't made aware.

Lovely spacious room, with good access to the spa, pool and fitness room. Breakfast with good selection. Staff responded quickly and very friendly.

Had a power cut mid in the room one afternoon, the hotel fixed this, but it should not have happened. Nearly had to change rooms, but didn't in the end. Was resolved quickly by the hotel. Room service didn't seem to bother with sauces/salt&pepper. Also had a 'blinking' light in the room hallway which needed fixing.

Great room, choice of two excellent restaurants, decor and location. I arrived a bit early and hotel kindly let me check in early. Room was spacious, clean and functional. Lots of parking. The Staff were excellent.

I was told when booking that the swimming pool would not be in use.However when I got there I was asked if I would like to use it.A bit annoying as I would have used it.

The food. Although trouble was taken by the staff, and there was plenty of variety, the coffee was cool and not fresh, the eggs were rubbery, the bacon smelt bad, the tomatoes were just warmed through, the bread nothing really special, and you couldnt warm the croissant. One evening meal produced boiled carrots and a mound of boiled broccoli with a tomatoey sauce with a tasteless chicken breast sitting on it. The pub meals were a little better but nothing special, so the cookery standard just didnt match the price for a main meal. Fish and chips was a vast hunk of overdone cod surrounded by an overdone crisp batter enough to sink a ship, bullet peas and inferior chips. decor rather tired in places, and the outside promised more than the inside delivered. SPA. A dreadful pool not worthy of a spa, changing room like school, and rather offhand though smiley staff,and the spa treatments not really good enough.

room was very good, comfortable bed, plenty of space, good shower Lovely garden, even in winter. Helpful , polite and kind staff throughout.
