We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

Lovely warm welcome for our young family. Room was beautifully decorated, impeccably clean and they had made a great space for our baby. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Super happy all around.

We loved absolutely everything about Kirkgate House. From our lovely friendly welcome! 😊 to our room which was beautiful and was full of little treats on the tea/coffee tray. Excellent facilities immaculately clean, warm and so comfortable. We both loved the flexibility of the breakfast times. Then comes the breakfast! It was outstanding! Plenty of choice and again always a lovely welcome from both Karen and her husband, Thank you. Our stay was just lovely and certainly just what we needed , but they went above and beyond to make us feel so welcome. We will certainly be making a return. Thank you so much!

United KingdomKirkgate house is a lovely guest house 2 mins walk from the station which was fantastically placed for our mini break, and super close to the castle. The guest house owners couldn't have been more accomodating- we came on the train so had 2 cases, and they allowed us to leave them at the guest house before check in on the day we arrived so we could go and explore without carrying them, and leave them for a few hours after checkout on the day we left which made a massive difference to us and gave us extra hours of freedom to explore! The room was lovely and clean and beautifully decorated with super comfy bedding. The breakfast options were all delicious, I particularly enjoyed the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs! I would absolutely recommend Kirkgate house, it's a brilliant place to stay and the surrounding area is fabulous. It was our first time away since lockdown and it was just what we needed.
