Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Every. Single. Thing. Gemma and Steve have put so much thought and care into this incredible house! The beds and pillows are exceptionally comfortable. We were welcomed with a dram and a truly fabulous coffee/tea set up. There isn’t a thing about this house I didn’t love. Blankets downstairs so you curl up and watch tv, or even better, go out and use the ultra relaxing hot tub. What an absolutely marvellous experience, I cannot over emphasise how great this house was.

PortugalThe house was impeccably clean and extremely well equipped. Despite some mediocre weather outside, the house was warm and cosy and the addition of the hot tub added to the overall feeling of comfort and luxury. Gemma had also left a plentiful supply of hot drink supplies as well as the offer of a wee dram (which Kirsty took advantage of). The secure garden was excellent for our dogs. The fact that there was no additional charge for cleaning or for bringing pets was much appreciated. Gemma also provides a welcome book that has all the information visitors could possibly want, including suggested walks and itineraries for various durations of stay. Overall, we can’t recommend Kinnoull House highly enough.

The whole house was perfect for my family and dog. Everything was clean and lots of little things like cake, coffee pods, dog treats, dog towels, whiskey to add that extra touch of comfort. The hot tub was great and the hosts do a great job getting it ready.

AustriaThere is really nothing to complain about, Gemma and the house is perfect for a family getaway.
The house has the perfect location to explore the whole island and to shop groceries and to go out dining. Gemma is such a loving and caring host with attention to detail, who made our stay perfect. Just listen to the crashing waves in the hot tub after a day hiking that Gemma warms up each day, make your breakfast and eat outside in the sun (we had the luck having sunshine during our stay). You can perfectly relax in the evening as there is absolutly no noise. We stayed with 2 kids 3 and 5 years old and our best friend as the whole house is so spacious everyone had its private space. We highly recommend anyone to stay in Kinnoull House.

Everything!!! The property is extremely well presented, the kitchen is very well equipped, the beds are super comfy, and the hot tub is amazing. Gemma and Steve are very welcoming and also very respectful of visitor privacy. Overall, this is an absolute gem in the Hebrides.
