Parking was a nightmare, very limited and very tight spaces. Wasnt overly clean, hairs in & around the bath before we had even used it so was obviously from previous people. Dirty marks on the towels. Very thin walls as could hear person next door snoring & also could hear her phonecall very early in the morning! Got woken up by it.

Fantastic location, very close to the beach & lots of bars & restaurants & shopping! :)

The lift is painfully slow - exactly thirty-five seconds to travel between ground and fifth floor. My local Tyne & Wear metro system runs a more frequent service!!

Good breakfast served very quickly by friendly and helpful staff.

They were fully booked for parking so we had to drive around to find somewhere. And one of the ladies at reception was very hard to understand due to the language barrier.

Brilliant location, comfy beds, nice food, great staff, easy to find

The bar menu showed food, but was not available. The lift was old and slow (didn't feel safe).

Natalie and Mary were lovely, as were most of the staff. The breakfast was ok, but basic. The room was a bit pocky , but serviceable. Would stay again.

Chipped cups & glasses at breakfast. Lack of condiments (no brown only red) not a lot to choose from and on 2 occasions had hair on my breakfast.

The bed was comfortable and it was clean.

The shower was cold and the water pressure extremely low so the speed of the shower was barely more than a trickle.

The location was perfect. Located overlooking the beach. We received a free upgrade to a sea view room which was a nice touch.

The lift was a bit of an inconvenience, we’re a young couple so don’t mind the stairs, but if you’re reliant on a lift it would be a hindrance.

They managed to get us in quickly after a failed booking at another place - very much appreciated. The layout of the building and bar area was nice, breakfast was well organised and tasty. We thought it was good that the bar toilets could only be used by people staying at the hotel.

Not bad, but wouldn't stay here again

I have a lot to say here, so will bullet point it all down; - Damp in the bathroom, with the ceiling flaking off when we were using it. - Bathroom was not cleaned properly, as we found used contacts in corners that were there from the previous people - Rooms are not soundproof; we had to endure babies crying, loud music, banging of doors and could hear actual conversations through the walls - Breakfast was ok; the fresh fruit was not freshly cut and smelt off so I couldn't eat it. You can only order 1 thing off their menu, and they only have bread or 2 x cereals out for everyone to have. - The hotel reception staff were ok; one lady was so hard to understand and spoke so fast when checking in. When asking her questions about parking, I got weird looks like I was asking something silly. - Parking - located a small walk away from the hotel, in some random car park. You can't rock up, you will need to ring to find out your bay number before parking too. We ended up parking on the curved part of the wall, which was not ideal and then ended up with a scratched car when checking out.

The location was great, as we were right near the beach. The room was a decent size with much room to move around. The breakfast was good, but not the greatest. Overall not bad for what you pay for.

I only did not like rooms location but this really is only preference and not the hotels thought. We booked woth no views or request.

Location was perfect and only short walk away from most entertainment. Bar was exceptional with price and time it was open till. Nearly 4 am that night. Friendly and laughing with all guests. Breakfast was nice as well with a good choice for all needs.

Made staff aware I was allergic to garlic and was still served a traditional breakfast that contained a high amount of garlic, after the server said that no garlic was present in a traditional breakfast,I began eating and immediately had a reaction that I needed to use an urgent epi pen, after telling said server he took it away and came back to tell me that tomatoes, baked beans, and mushrooms all contained garlic..who puts garlic in a British traditional breakfast???....a breakfast was then re cooked for me containing no garlic.. For me this was life threatening and I will be seeking legal advise. Servers should have more knowledge about the food they are serving for this reason.

    Fabulous arrival reception staff.
