Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomOur only complaint is that the room was one of the smallest and left us with very little room to manoeuvre around the bed, having brought a crate for the dog, but it’s just one of those things. If we’d had a bigger room I’d have given it 10/10
A very quirky hotel with lovely, friendly owners. Very clean, beautiful decor and amazing attention to detail. We were supplied with sweet treats in our room (even a little treat bag for our dog!) Breakfast was great too!

United KingdomThe parking takes 3 cars and is a bit tight, the rest of the parking is free but street side.
The breakfast was the best we had ever had in a bed and breakfast. The welcome is warm, owners and staff friendly, helpful - they really want you to enjoy your stay. Dogs are very welcome - they even have a welcome goody bag in the room when you you arrive with your dogs name on it. Nothing is too much trouble. There is a small licensed bar in the conservatory with a large screen television. The house is exceptionally clean and well decorated - surprising with dog guests - clean towels at the front door to wipe your dog down. Everything is thought of. Close by is Cocklington Park and dogs are allowed to have an off the lead run, always a good start to a dog owners day and 2 coffee shops in Cocklington, one has a "pawsteserie" - dog friendly treats.

United KingdomLovely B&B, very clean, nice decor and welcoming. Lounge area to have a drink and relax. Bedrooms are tasteful and beds are very comfy. Owners were very friendly and really went the extra mile to provide a wonderful stay. Fresh homemade cakes and biscuits available daily for guests to help themselves. We even got an Easter Egg each as we were there for Easter!

United KingdomWe could not fault anything - the location is in a nice quiet part of Torquay, however, you can still walk to the seafront quite easily, along by the harbour front and slowly amble into town at your leisure. There is a really good pub a few minutes away with a good choice of food, the Bull and Bush. We had a lovely evening meal there and it was reasonably priced.
Could not fault our stay at the King's Lodge, with our little dog. This hotel is immaculate throughout and the hosts were so friendly, on our arrival and during our stay, until the time we departed. A little bag of dog treats was waiting in our room on arrival, with a squeaky dog toy, which our pet loved so much! Our pup's name was even on the bag - such a nice touch! The breakfast was exceptional, with lots of choice and all locally-sourced ingredients. During the day you can help yourself to homemade cakes in the Reception area. This hotel is super dog-friendly and we would certainly stay here again.

United KingdomGenuinely nothing!
Loved everything about this place, Amanda and Brian are excellent hosts. Rooms are lovely, clean, airey. Breakfast was exceptional. The bar and garden are lovely, very good attention to detail throughout. Nice short walk to the beach, harbour and town centre but very quiet. Can't hear the road from the bedrooms and we were ground floor at the front. We would not stay anywhere else if we're to visit the area again.
