We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomFood menu in the room didn't reflect the menu in the dining room. Wasn't easy to get a table for dinner even though we were guests. It was either very late or too early. It was a B/H weekend so it would have been helpful if the hotel had messaged to inform us that tables would be limited and then we could have pre-booked.
The breakfast staff. Lovely, funny man and wife who gave great service. Would go back just for their morning banter.

The room (28, just outside main building) was extremely comfortable. The managers; Chris and Gaye were helpful and friendly and went the extra mile when asked. Breakfast was lovely and there was fun 'banter' between staff and guests. There were obviously a number of guests who were repeat visitors.

United KingdomThe only thing we would say is that our room could do could do with some TLC as some paintwork needed repair and there was damp in area's which could put people off. It's not far from rooms to hotel but if raining or bad weather need coat or brolly. So good idea to check which room you book.
We enjoyed out stay, the staff where friendly and helpful . We where advised to book for evening meal as work was due on the evening we had booked in for and they would stop serving food early. There was a good choice and the food we ordered was nice. During our stay we where in the court yard part of the hotel. The room was a good size and fine for what we needed.

United KingdomI appreciate the building is old but some of the areas are a little tierd. The bedroom had some mould on the window frame and in the bottom of the shower.
A very old building with plenty of character. Breakfast was excellant with a great choice and plenty to fill you up. The service by Chris and Gay was also exceptional who could not to do enough for you. Dinner was also a great choice, great meal and value for money. Again the service by Amy on both nights of our stay was excellant. She served every table with some help from the bar when they could but she is a credit to The Kings Head.
