Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe wi- fi could be better. However it ain.t the be all of anything.
I have passed by this Hotel on many times over the years. be it biking or climbing Munro's . Finally booked a weekend with biker dudes. As one of our guys is physically compromised due to a work related incident it was important to be on a ground level. The Annex is perfect for those who cannot do the stairs. For the price we paid for 2 nights 2 ppl each room en suite toilet and tv along with tea making facilities for a cost of £35 each per night...well you can't go wrong. I would recommend trying their inhouse restaurant...good choice of meals at a very good price considering the location for tourists. I did manage to get a damn good price when I booked. One last thing..it's excellent for tourists, climbers, hikers and bikers.

United StatesMy room was 3 flights up and the elevator sketchy (old). I walked up out of preference. It wasn’t too difficult. My preference would have been to be only 2 flights up but I did have a beautiful view of the river Tay!
The location and view from my window, and breakfast.

Staff were excellent, so friendly and helpful. The man on reception was especially helpful. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant which was really good and would definitely recommend that. Breakfast was good with lots of choice and cooked breakfast to order.

United StatesCheck the beds in room 31. They need new mattresses.
Second time at this hotel. Loved the riverside location. Stayed for 2 nights. First night we had twin beds that were so uncomfortable due to springs coming through the mattress that I couldn't walk the next day. The receptionist (sorry I didn't get her name) was so lovely. She immediately moved us to a nicer room, with a discount, and even found me a hot water bottle to use for my back. She went above and beyond to assist us. The food was amazing and we plan on returning another time.

United KingdomOn arrival we were advised that we had been upgraded from our booked 'double room with a waterside view'. This turned out to be a four-poster room, over the dining area roof which blocked out the 'waterside view' but did give a view of the nearby hills. The room was furnished fairly sparsely but did have two recliner chairs. However, line of sight sitting in these to watch TV was difficult due to it being mounted in the corner immediately behind the door. The view of it from the bed was also difficult for the person nearer the door as the post from the canopy completely blocked the view. If you wanted to read in bed you needed to put on the main room light as there was only one bedside lamp and it didn't give off enough light to allow the person on the opposite side to read comfortably. If the room was an upgrade - we are not sure what the original would have offered.
Location - it was already familiar to us as we used to caravan there. The hotel is easily accessible as it's just off the main road. It sits on the river bank with seating, drinking and eating areas sited to this side. Great views of hills nearby. We ate in the restaurant on our last night there. The house curry (chicken) was absolutely amazing. Great access for walking along the river bank & down to the shores of River Tay. Plenty of good fishing spots for those with fly or spinning rod. Staff were friendly, helpful and quick to respond to any concerns/issues. We had an issue shortly after arrival (clothes rail) - I reported it to reception and within a few minutes, staff were on hand to rectify it.
