Quite a way out of town so no bars or restaurants in walking distance, but we knew that when we booked so it wasn’t an issue for us.

Lovely quiet location. Catriona the host is lovely and friendly. The little touches that were left out for our arrival was a lovely touch. The property was extremely clean and very modern and good quality furnishing. Hot tub was a nice wee extra as was the jaccuzi bath. Our dog also enjoyed his stay. We had a lovely indian meal delivered from a local restaurant. Highly recommend Katies Flat.

A hand towel in the kitchen would have been useful. A rack/ larger mat at the door for wet shoes, dog towel etc would have been helpful. There's not a lot of space for one but it would have saved dripping on the carpet on entry. Also the pegs for wet waterproofs by the kitchen door meant we dripped all the way through there. Also a light in the bathroom (the mirror light?) not linked to the fan would have helped for night visits.

The flat was extremely warm and comfortable. The weather during our stay was grim and the cosiness of the flat made a huge difference. We could have stayed indoors and spent quality time there had we chosen to do so. Catriona, our hostess. was extremely welcoming and had thoughfully provided some treats, including fresh flowers. As dog owners it was nice to be in a place where dogs were not just tolerated but welcomed - Catriona is a dog lover! All the fittings and furnishings were of high quality and attractive.

It was very hot in the flat and the fan didn’t seem to cut it, maybe more fans or an air con unit? However I am pregnant so maybe felt it more!

Can’t fault Katie’s flat at all, Catriona has obviously put a lot of thought into this place and it shows. Attention to detail was amazing - cakes and milk etc on arrival, white company robes and gorgeous soaps etc in the bathroom. The folders with lots of menus and takeaway options in it was really lovely too! Would 100% recommend!

Catriona was a lovely host, who made our stay very special with lots of Easter goodies! Great quiet location with views from patio and hot tub. Our two dogs loved Katie's Place too. Warm and cosy with top notch facilities.

Property is on the outskirt of town but local bus available!! Also garden wasn't grassed or enclosed.There was a woodland walk nearby.
