As warned, the steps are iregular and steep - a bit difficult to manoeuvre with a bag.

Breakfast is included and is an a dedicated room, beautifully laid out with cereals, etc and an excellent service for the menu of cooked meals. The hotel is quirky, and the rooms have charm. Everywhere is spotless. A nice tray of teas, coffees, biscuits etc in the room. Mermaid Street is a step-back in time. The hotel has its own secure car park nearby (£3 per day)

Having to leave at the end of our short stay. We will be back in 2025.

The secure parking was close and very reasonably priced. The breakfasts comprised an excellent selection both cold and cooked to order. The staff and owner were very attentive and friendly and the room was warm and comfortable with a wide range of refreshments.

    The breakfast could’ve been larger.

Old property, with beautiful dining room. Large room with double and single bed and armchairs. Parking down the road for £3, confirmed space so very good. Biscuits and chocolate on arrival in room. Fresh milk for tea/coffee downstairs in a fridge if desired. Very tasty breakfast with unlimited toast.

Jeakes House is beautiful and has a lot of character! We booked as a last minute weekend get away and were not disappointed. It is in a fantastic location, and the staff were so very welcoming and friendly from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. We stayed in the budget double room with the bathroom across the landing, it was very close and it was private, did not cause any issues with our stay. We really liked the honesty bar, lovely extra that added to the stay. Private parking for a small fee and a short walk from the hotel was fantastic due to limited parking in Rye!
