Room - towel radiator didnt work, no toilet brush, no more tea bags on the second day - not replenished and didnt get the bathroom cleaned when they tidied round.

Room - warm and cosy. Bungalow layouts and positions really good. Breakfast - excellent Dinner - excellent but pricey Leisure facility - everything was free, very clean, really good to use.

I felt the Breakfast did not represent value for money but as it was Christmas Day the cost seemed more acceptable.

The room (supposedly a superior double) was so basic. There was nothing that would make me want to rush back to stay. The toiletries in the bathroom weren’t great. There was no bottled water in the room. Breakfast was a serve your self buffet and it wasn’t overly warm. The bar was almost like a Wetherspoons bar. Knives and forks in pots on the tables. No atmosphere. There were so many things that could have been done a better to reflect the beautiful building and grounds. I think that’s why I was quite disappointed. Their social media makes it look a lot better than it is.

It was a lovely location with beautiful grounds. The staff were really nice and helpful. You could get free tea and coffee in the coffee bar.

Breakfast was late, meant to start at 7 but wax not in full flow until about 7:20. Not ideal for business users of which the hotel was full on this Tuesday night.

The location was great for Southampton and Portsmouth. The property itself is magnificent though spaced out meaning you need to go outside to access various communal areas.

New coffee machine dispenses too much coffee for the cup/paper take-away cups provided. Caused an overspill and wastage - especially on "Flat White" setting. I wasn't the first customer to have that happen. Bigger cups or get the manufacturer to readjust the setting size please.

Beautiful building and surrounds. Room was neat and tidy, bed was comfy. We're down regularly (monthly) and it's nice that the staff recognise us and we can have a chat and catch up. Breakfast is always good.

Jacuzzi was closed for cleaning the morning I went to the spa sadly, though I understand it needs to be done. Sauna only fits 2 people. It was not a busy weekend so not an issue for me.

Stunning main building and loved the individual rooms for guests, each with their own front door. They had an electric car charger which I wish I knew about on arrival. Towels are provided in the leisure area. Small gym but with variety of equipment.

Mattress could have been comfier. Swimming pool not very warm and shame the jacuzzi was out of action throughout our stay - the leisure facilities were one of the reasons we booked so a bit disappointing.

Great location for visiting family. Lovely house and grounds. Cheery, helpful staff. Good breakfast with tasty bacon and sausages.

Small suggestion: a coat hanger close to the door can be useful, avoiding to use guardrobe for wet coat

Impressive building for breakfast/lunch. Well organized room and warm. Great SPA with pool, sauna and jacuzzi.

This is not really a hotel in my opinion, it is a wedding venue/function venue. Lots of groups of guests, slightly noisier than one would like especially in the evening. The staff although very polite are all very young and do not appear to be trained in hospitality which gives a bit of hap hazard feel to the stay. We ate in the bar on first night which was very expensive and basic, frozen chips, cold bacon etc, not what you expect at that cost. Dogs were allowed but my emails were ignored prior to our stay only to be hit with an extra £30 bill on arrival, but no justification for the cost... The potential for this place is huge but not somewhere I will stay again with loud wedding parties everyday..

Good spacious double room and plenty of space in the ensuite with good hot water.. very warm so much so I had to open the window! The breakfast spread is excellent and probably the best bit of the stay.. There is a small wooded walk which was handy for the dogs to have a comfort break...

Only one thing, is the bar prices for some drinks were very expensive and we fully understand the rise in prices but did slightly grate a bit as we were at a wedding in an annexe not in main house. But nothing else to complain about.

An excellent location with a stunning main house. The layout of accommodation is easy to navigate. The staff were all very helpful and polite at all times. The main house felt great walking through like a Victorian manor house. We particularly liked the cooked English breakfast, and once again the staff made it run smoothly despite the rush of guests all arriving at once so we'll done to them. We would like to go back again and use more of the facilities available to guests. Highly recommended 👍👍

Due to my partner having a big allergy i was told when i called up to look at the food menu online so we catered around the menu online to only be told its completely different at the hotel which was abit of a let down but still managed to caterer for her.

The franklyn room was a excellent room to stay in and the staff and food was lovely

room 81 so noisy right next to a exit door and all we had was the door banging so we didn’t get a good sleep

Hot breakfast should be self-service. There should be more supervision for food when it runs out, eg. no bread in one stay at the time we arrived for breakfast.

Perhaps umbrella's should be available for the guestst to use when walking to the restaurant.

The fitness centre after a day of shopping also the breakfast was very good for the price we paid.
