United KingdomWe had such a wonderful stay at Ingleside. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, quiet ,comfortable and friendly. Keith and Diane were such lovely hosts with lots of recommendations for places to visit and eat and even bus times. Breakfast choices were vast from a full English to homemade yoghurt ,cereals & croissants to mention a few. They offer a 3 course dinner on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays which was really delicious. Parking on site was a bonus and it was nice not to use the car for our 3 day stay. We would definitely stay here again.

A fabulous base from which to explore North Devon in general and the Lynmouth area in particular with all the amenities you could want from a small town close to hand. Great!

Our hosts were friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Our cases were carried up and down from our room. Breakfasts were excellent with a good choice of items. We liked the jigsaw to work on in the lounge. Everywhere was spotlessly clean.

United KingdomThe turn from the main road into Ingleside is very sharp in one direction, so should be approached with caution. Having said that, we didn't use the car for the duration of our stay so we only had to negotiate this once coming in and once coming out.
Situated in Lynton, close to the cliff railway which takes you down to Lynmouth, this property was quiet and peaceful, and had private parking, well tended gardens with a sun terrace, set in the hillside with outstanding views all around. Our room was clean and very comfortable, with extensive views, and plenty of storage. Fresh milk was provided daily for hot drinks, and friendly efficient service at breakfast, with hot food to order the night before, a choice of cereal, plenty of good bread toasted with homemade jams and preserves, and great coffee. The host also offers a 3 course evening meal several nights a week, which is excellent value. This was an ideal base for walking, and there are plenty of cafes, pubs and restaurants in Lynton and Lynmouth. Be aware though, that the footpaths can be very steep and flat/appropriate footwear is recommended to enjoy everything the area has to offer. I would recommend a visit to the valley of the rocks on a clear day. I can also recommend the open top coastal explorer bus, which for £2 single can take you between Lynmouth and Minehead in one direction, or Ilfracombe in the other, with great views from the top deck (but watch out for overhanging branches)
