Too far to walk to lift lobby. Wife has knee problem so long walks a problem

Asked for adjoins rooms but were given two rooms as far apart as possible. Rooms 216 and 240. Not acceptable.

Stayed for one night breakfast plenty of choice ,room comfortable and clean , only downside for us as 80 year olds the hotel does not have walk in showers.

It smelled like an old people's care home on arrival. Some water in the room fridge would be nice. Carpark was an added £10. A bit further away from the centre than I usually prefer.

The hotel was very grand in appearance and the room was a really good size with a comfy bed with a bath instead of just a shower which is great. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent. A fantastic choice of both cooked and continental. Fridge in room was an unexpected bonus. Very good value for money and carpark on site is useful.

The location is really good, just had to cross the road to get the tram, the hotel has stunning features throughout, the staff we very friendly & helpful, breakfast was delicious, we will return

Not impressed with housekeeping entering our room at ten past nine after we called to him not too. We were due to leave at ten so surely he could have waited until we had gone?

Got a really good price for a midweek stay, for the money there was nothing not to like. We found a parking space in the street next to the hotel which saved a tenner in parking. Hotel has a charming if faded splendour. Not sure it's worth full price but if you can get a deal it's worth it.

The room was very hot at all time's and the Vue was not good.

The shower area within the bath could have been a little bigger but it wasn’t a major issue.

It was old fashioned and kept its charm but it wasn’t run down and aged.

We stayed in a standard room on the 4th floor. Very quiet but quite a walk from the lift. Obviously attic rooms on this level as views were roof tops at the back of hotel. Room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Might be worth upgrading to a sea view and better rooms if staying a few days or longer. Very basic tea tray with no sachets of hot chocolate. I requested some bottled water and the manager kindly offered to put a fridge in the room which we declined as it wasn't necessary for 1 night. Basic toiletries in bathroom, a new miniature soap and 2 pre used/refillable? shower and shampoo dispenser. No bedside lights or power points by bed, but several power points in the room. Bed was ok but the pillows were rubbish. Breakfast underwhelming. Usual fare plus pastries and croissants which were poor quality.

Location good for us with the tram stop literally across the road. Staff very friendly. Manager super nice and the Bar staff very attentive. Hotel was warm and comfortable. Has own parking out front with extra charge. Breakfast tea was delivered to the table. Bar very interesting with old stained glass ceiling and frame photos. There was a singer on in the bar. Great value for money for 1 night.

Some items such as sausages and beacon had been on display for too long, they tended to dry up. Parking has become very expensive.

Breakfast has plenty of choice and most are of good quality. I enjoyed it. Bed is comfortable but just a bit too soft, easy to fall out of bed. My room is not big but still good size and with splendid sea views.

The top af the egg yolk had been kept under a heater of some kind to keep them warm forming an inedible skin. This happened every morning.i have never experienced the before in any hotel I have stayed in. Otherwise the food was good.

You have a swimming pool on the website so we’re looking forward to using this. We told has not been open for 3 years 1 was told the advertised gym is not open either . This is very misleading and not good for your staff having to explain this

The staff on the reception were brilliant and very helpful, breakfast was lovely and i had a prefect parking place.

Windows where about 90 years old obviously it’s a listed building I’m assuming but bedroom window woundnt open bathroom window opened to about 15%

Nice hotel freindly staff haven’t sautéed here for 15 years and to be honest not much has changed 15 years ago the hotel was the best in blackpool but I’d say others have surpassed it now

Car parking limited couldn't get a space had to park round the back on some gravel which I wasn't happy about also restaurant fully booked and took a while to find a table in the bar

Toilet in room didn't work properly which was a bit of a nuisance

Lovely old building, a little tired in some areas but overall enjoyed it. The staff in all departments were exceptional.
