We had upgraded to what we had thought to be a room with a double bed and a double sofa bed ( and thought bedding for both ) , however we got room with double bed and bedding , a single sofa bed with no bedding , wasn't a major issue as we are old mates and just shared the double bed but could be an issue for some - there was a sort of double sized foam mat under the bed , but again no bedding

The staff are absolutely brilliant, really helpful and friendly - The kitchen facilities and lounge area were spot on , even though we only made a couple of brews - Shower room was very clean, central location for gigs in city centre

Noise from the big clock by the church that bonged every hour on the hour...but seemed to stop at midnight for a few hours. Obviously this is not the hostels fault.

Receptionist was friendly and showed me everything I needed to know. My double ensuite room was clean and bright. The pictures on the wall were kind of unusual but they made me chuckle. Great location! Just don't forget that thet require you to bring photo ID to show otherwise they won't let you stay! I realised this just in time to bring some with me

Budjett accomendation with perfect location right in the center of the city. The staff was very nice and helpful and the reception was open to very late in the night. The room was very clean. I like it.

The room was quite noisey at night with the thumping bass from Bierkeller til 2am. Was moved rooms which helped a lot

The WiFi signal and water pressure in the shower were both adequate, but could be improved.

Friendly staff and a clean, comfortable room in an excellent location. The private room and en suite were clean, briefly used the kitchen and found it well equipped. The hostel is in an old building and the operation feels a little homespun which adds to the charm if you're looking for a homely touch at a reasonable price.

The wifi can be a bit slow and some of the floors creak quite loudly but honestly its close to negligible

Incredible place to stay that exceeded all of our expectations. I personally hadn't stayed at hostels before, so I was hesitant and didn't really have anything to compare it to in terms of my own experiences. The staff were the loveliest people you'll meet, the room was quirky in all the best ways, comfy and well equipped. The kitchen and communal areas were just as lovely and felt like a home away from home!

Central location to the city's shopping area but in a quaint, quiet courtyard, very friendly staff on reception (Robyn), lovely bright, clean room, excellent value for money. I stayed in The Stables and would return again and again.
