The location is idyllic with views of the surrounding countryside. As you walk through your own gate you’re greeted by a good sized patio and lawn. Cwm Lodge is beautifully quirky with a lovely living area concealing the well equipped kitchen behind what looks like a solid pillar with a wood burner effect heater (the pillar is cleverly hollow, housing the microwave and crockery). Double doors open to a very relaxing bedroom with en-suite shower room. It’s a real gem and a credit to Jo & Paul. They’re friendly yet unintrusive. Jo says good morning when she’s out tending to Shrek the pig & the birds. I did chat to them on Saturday evening for a while to say we’d love to come back for repeat stays.

Very rural setting with lovely gardens. The cottage was very comfortable and was furnished with all necessary facilities.

The most picturesque location, very beautiful surroundings. Great lodge, everything you need & more. Extremely clean and tidy. Hosts were lovely and they have the most gorgeous rescue dog that roams around the land.

Great location and everything there we needed. Short drive to Hereford for bread and milk and a good selection of restaurants for dining. Beautiful views, quiet and comfortable, had a great nights sleep. The hosts Jo and Paul were very nice and there if we needed anything. Beautiful garden for a stroll and you’re own patio and garden to sit out in. Would definitely use again.

All very acceptable but what would have made it even better were a few extras - like a teapot, milk on arrival, shower gel, a shelf in the bathroom and in the shower on which to put toiletries.

Nothing we loved it

Great cottage well equipped in a lovely peaceful location. Absolutely loved the private penned off garden as this is what we were looking for travelling with our 2 dogs. Great walks and very dog friendly area. Owners really welcoming and friendly with great knowledge of the local area.

Perfect place to stay for a few days getaway to Herefordshire and surrounding area. The lodge was warm and comfortable with everything we needed for our stay, and had an enclosed garden area with a lovely view of the countryside, would definitely recommend!

Cwm lodge was the perfect retreat for a few days visiting a friend in Hereford. The owners were lovely and the grounds are absolutely beautiful. Very comfortable bed, sitting area, kitchen equipped with all you could need, good shower, good parking and all so peaceful.

A bit too much contact with the owners. Not at all private becuase they use their garden. Very much their prerogative and the garden was beautiful and really well maintained but we like to get away on our own and it was just a bit too much for us.

Lovely setting. Beautiful big grounds that we were free to walk around. Chickens and a pig which we love and the owners dog was very friendly. Enclosed garden for our dogs and poop bags with a towel for the dogs.

We loved the flexibility of staying at this property compared to a B&B or budget hotel. The location was lovely and the extensive grounds provided peace and tranquility - nothing but birdsong could be heard.

The location is amazing and so relaxing. We loved looking out onto the woodlands, seeing the chickens and pig. We even managed to use the fire pit on 2 evenings and this was so lovely. The hosts were so helpful, friendly and great with our dog, Peppa. We loved everything about the property and the fact there are so many nice places to eat that are not far away. We are so glad we found this true gem as we will return. Fully recommend the property.

There's nothing to dislike!

It really was idyllic! Fabulous location, perfect accommodation, very welcoming host. Unspoiled surroundings and the only sounds you can hear are nature itself. Super fresh eggs from the hens too! Such a shame we couldn't stay longer but we'll definitely return. Our dog was also welcomed with dog treats, towel and bowl in case we'd forgotten anything for him.
