Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe found the breakfast very expensive and not particularly great, on our travels round Leeds we found we could have had a similar breakfast at The Ivy for less money!!
The staff were friendly and helpful both on arrival and at breakfast the next morning. We liked the location to the Merrion Street Car Park and the discount on the parking charge. We found our room spacious and clean. It the first hotel we've been in to have an actual fresh coffee maker in the room. The decor was delightful and having a sofa in the room was particularly nice. Leeds has a wealth of amazing Arcades to explore as well as the Largest under cover market in Europe.

United KingdomNot much to be honest.
Breakfast OK and as you might expect for the type of hotel. Location very good handy for shops etc in particular and surrounded by a variety of restaurants. Room absolutely fine - clean, well fitted with a comfortable bed. En- suite bathroom a decent size (not a tiny pod - has room to if not swing a cat, certainly give it a good twirl). Lighting in room is good.

United KingdomAll good!
I was down for an event at The Light cinema so the hotel was very well located for that. My room was almost a suite - there was the bedroom and the bathroom and, between them, a small sitting area with the tea and coffee making tray. Room was very well decorated with Yorkshire and Leeds themed carpets and posters. Really good lighting in the room, too. The windows looked over an internal courtyard so the room was nice and quiet, as requested when booking.

United KingdomWe didn't have breakfast but its a good location to visit the university and see a little of the centre. Easy to walk around. We weren't informed of the car park facility next door but apparently you get a discount if you park in there. Staff were helpful and the room super new and very clean.

United KingdomNo hot water to wash hands after flushing toilet until the cistern had filled up. Cups in the room weren't washed when the room was cleaned during the day. While i appreciate why they don't (4th floor) it would be nice if the windows opened just a little bit to get some air in the room rather than relying on the air con.
Ideal location for the arena and for eating out. Front of house staff were very friendly and the housekeeping staff we met around the hotel were polite and helpful

United KingdomThe beds were far too firm. I like a firm mattress but these were like sleeping on a table even though there are mattress toppers on them. I am a disabled person and therefore, booked an accessible room for me and my carer. The room was brilliant but the shower discriminates. Nor everyone using these rooms will be sat to use the shower. The shower heads in its highest position is far too low. My carer and I are both 5' 3 inch and we only just fit under this shower. Had I brought my husband who would usually be my carer he wouldn't have been able to fit under the shower as he is 6'. The grab bar for the toilet is located directly above the toilet roll dispenser. I have issues with my arms and wrists. The grab rail made it difficult to access toilet roll and so I removed the toilet roll and sat it on top of the grab rail. My carer who is able bodied said she found the toilet roll difficult to access. This all sounds like a lot but if the dispenser was moved above the grab rail (a 5 minute job) it would solve that. Likewise, it the shower pole that holds the shower head was placed higher you could fit an average person under it and you could lower the head for a person with needs. It is Important in accessible rooms to really consider the ergonomics. Otherwise this room was fantastic
Stylish, clean, super quiet and fabulous location close to town and very close to the arena.
