Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceGood to know that room 3 was small, and the 3 flights of stairs are quite steep. It would benefit from discreet bedside lights on the bedside tables, rather than the over-the-bed lamps. The automated booking system means that you receive a constant stream of messages. That was slightly annoying !
Travelling with a group of siblings, we found Morley Rooms to be very clean, professionally presented, and they had everything we needed for a short stay. Room 3 has a small double bed, fine for a couple or one person, but too small for 2 friends to share. The showers are small but new, and both shampoo & soap are provided. The room itself is well equipped. There is a small hanging area, ironing board & iron, a full- length mirror and a hair dryer. A tea tray included a plentiful supply of tea, coffee, sugar, & milk, plus bottled water. A nice bottle of orange juice and a quick-mix oat & honey pot are provided for breakfast- a really nice touch! Saying that, the friendly bistro downstairs offers a delicious breakfast, coffees or meals at very reasonable prices!! Highly recommended. Room 3 was at the back of the house, so it was very quiet at this time of year (the bistro's garden/terrace underneath was not yet open) and had a lovely view of the garden and hills beyond. The other rooms on this floor overlook the road and the guests sleeping there were woken up by the deliveries early in the morning. There are 3 rooms on this floor ( 3, 4 (twin) and 5 (large double bed, spacious) so it was perfect for a group. Finally, access via the key code pad was very easy, you could share the code with your room mate, and you didn't need to worry about losing the key!! The housekeeper, Kelly, was marvellous. She was warm, friendly and very helpful !

United KingdomA bit of a discrepancy in check in time. Booking.com said 2pm, but while I was travelling to Hailsham, I received an email from the property saying check in time was 3pm, so I had to hang around for nearly an hour.
A lovely sized room. I loved the decor. Clean and comfortable.

United KingdomIt did get slightly warm in the room and we couldn’t figure out how to open the windows. Other than that everything was perfect.
We absolutely loved the location. The proximity to a car park was very close. The hotel was beautiful and our room was stunning and full of unique features. We had a view over a green area outside through our large French doors which was idyllic in the morning. The hotel was situated in a perfect location to suit our touring nearby. The village was quaint and had lovely shops on the high st to which we were close. A short walk to a coop along with lovely pubs close by. We had a very enjoyable stay. The hotel was quiet overnight and we were close to lovely walks.

JapanI love that they had all Fairtrade tea & coffee, sugar, and compostable bags for bins. Bottled orange juices and tabs of porridge were a lovely touch. It is also located in a lovely little village with lots of interesting independent shops. Whilst we didn't dine on the premises, the Bistro looked very nice and wished we could have tried it.

United KingdomThe bathroom facilities in room 2 are very small. There was a lot of noise from the restaurant/bar underneath on the 1st night meaning we couldn't go to sleep until they had closed & finished tidying up/moving tables around. There was a lot of emails/texts before & during stay which seemed unnecessary. We booked to stay a 2nd night & asked to stay in the same room to avoid having to check out and check in again. Also to save unnecessary cleaning. This seemed to cause a lot of confusion as the door codes were changed and we were then unable to get into the rooms. Another guest was also checked in to the same room as my parents & given the access code to the door - he was able to walk into my parents' room at 10pm! This led to a number of late night calls to request that the door codes were changed for security purposes which wasn't welcome.
Located in a lovely village with easy parking, places to eat and shops. Rooms were clean. Staff on site were friendly & helpful.

United KingdomOnly thing I didn`t like was the 10am check out time which, to me, is a bit too early considering check in is only possible later in the afternoon and there are only a few bedrooms in the hotel.
Excellent location. Room was spacious and modern, cosy and warm in a very cold night. Staff were very helpful and polite whenever help was needed.
