Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomFantastic pub B&B in a beautiful village location. Very cosy and spotlessly clean room. Friendly and helpful owners who have added many thoughtful additional touches which made our stay even more special. Great breakfast - good quality ingredients and generous portions! Lovely garden at the back too - perfect for a quiet read. Really well situated - close to some great walks, Totnes, the River Dart, Greenway House, beautiful beaches and other wonderful sights.

United KingdomAccessing Cornworthy village is via narrow lanes.
Personal service to a professional standard. Graham and Sue made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. Very comfortable, recently refurbished and well appointed room. Fresh milk in the fridge. Quality biscuits. Guidebooks for the area. Public bar well stocked. Restaurant food and service very good. Breakfast freshly cooked to order. Attractive local walks with lovely views and the only noise is bird song. Easy access to Dartmouth.

United KingdomProbably the only draw back were the long narrow lanes to get to Inn ,but WORTH it certainly.
The owners Sue and Grahame were lovely, so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Home made food was delicious. Room was large and very cosy and very clean. We appreciated the tasty biscuits left in room, best we have ever had. We loved it so much and were treated with so much warmth that we have immediately booked for a longer period in September.

United KingdomIf you cant reverse difficult to get to, as very narrow single track roads, both to Totnes and Dartmouth.
Lovely start to the day with a full English, quality meats. Very friendly hosts Sue and Grahame, and the locals. Comfortable bed, kettle in the room with a fridge, teas/coffee/chocolate and a full pint of milk, not those little plastic thimbles you get in most hotels - loved this. Spacious clean bathroom. Good dining, and if you are an ale lover, they keep a good cellar, on sale my husband would thoroughly recommend Taylors Landlord, Jail ale and Shipyard.

IrelandThere was nothing we didn't like! The narrow and twisting lanes leading to the village are a bit hairy, but it's worth the effort.
A really warm welcome and a clean and comfortable room - but the bonus was the truly excellent food, everything home-made from scratch and beautifully presented and served. Great real ales, too.

We both enjoyed the breakfast. A good range of breakfast items on offer. Certainly a good start for the day. Both evening meals we had of high quality and home made, makes such a difference. Thank you very much.

United KingdomWith the weather changing for the better we decided to find somewhere around Totnes (with 3 days notice). Nothing doing, then owing to a cancellation we found the Hunters Lodge Cornworthy had a room for the dates we wanted.. We thought it's just a pub it will be fine so we booked it. No it's not, this is an exceptional pub in a small village with an experienced and delightful couple running it. Our hosts Grahame and Sue were a joy to stay with, nothing was too much trouble. They gave us helpful information on the local attractions and how best to get there and which roads to avoid. A delightful country pub with exceptional homemade cooking well above the normal pub standard. A bonus for me was the well kept and well presented real ales. Clean and tidy room well decorated with on suite, nice and quiet at night for a good nights sleep. Tea and coffee making facilities, a small fridge for water and milk. Thanks Grahame and Sue for a wonderful break. We will definitely stay at the Hunters Lodge again.

GermanyIt's a very nice pub and B&B in a small and quiet village, but it's definitely worth visiting. The owners and employees are super friendly and caring and made us feel welcome at once. The food is delicious (best vegetarian burger I've ever had) and even without spending the night, just coming for dinner and drinks would be a great choice! Extra bonus: Bella, the very cute dog who lives there :)!

United KingdomQuite expensive accommodation at £100 a night for what you get. Breakfast was extra. Be aware satnav takes you to green close up the road! Very steep ramp to car park. Room directly above the pub and main door which was a little loud in the late evening if you choose not to stay in the bar.
Rural location, really friendly hosts, property immaculate. Breakfast was lovely and accommodated food intolerance options. Nice touches in the accommodation like light mirror and secret Choccy box in a cosy room.

United KingdomWe own a holiday cottage and I have also run B&B too, and know how irritating it is to receive negative feedback, which would be better given in person at the time of stay or if minor, not given at all. What’s not to like about a stay in a lovely country pub!
We were met by Lauren who was extremely helpful, showed us our room, changed our table booking at very short notice, served our dinners, and who was very efficient and nothing was too much trouble, and all done with a friendly disposition. The food was all delicious, especially the breakfasts, all cooked by Sue. Everything was clean and quite comfortable.

United KingdomThe only suggestion for an improvement would be to change one of sockets in the bedroom to include a built in USB charging socket.
What a gem. The food was superb, good choice of breakfasts (full English recommended!) and evening meals. Quiet location. Friendly hosts. Be aware the car park is on a slope down to the pub, and there are steps to the rooms. The lanes to get there are very narrow with passing places, but then this is Devon!

Lovely quiet village location surrounded by beautiful countryside yet within easy reach of tourist attractions. Friendly hosts and staff for whom nothing was too much trouble.
