Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe only thing I could recommend is maybe a slightly bigger TV that has either a DVD player or a smart TV. Other than that, it was perfect!
What an absolutely beautiful property. Exactly what we needed!! The most gorgeous grounds. The hosts were lovely.

United KingdomApartment was spotless with cleaning to a very high standard. The “retreat” has amazing views from both kitchen and bedroom windows and if you’re looking for a peaceful place to stay then look no further. Everything you could need is available with a fully equipped kitchen. A very nice touch was the lovely goodies provided in the welcome hamper on arrival. Beautiful fresh cut flowers displayed in the kitchen which adds to the homely feel. Access to the grounds is a bonus to your stay where you can have a stroll and if you venture past the bluebells as far as the bench near the willow tree, you will have the delight of more amazing views. We would have no hesitation in recommending these apartments to anyone looking for a relaxing break to recharge the batteries.

Beautiful location and well positioned for surrounding towns and attractions. Apartment (Loft) was a great size, bedroom a little small but still lovely, equipped with everything you need, parking space. Owners very friendly and helpful. Outside seating great. Private and not overlooked, peaceful, beautiful grounds and a bench to watch the sunset and the lambs with a glass of wine!

United KingdomI chose to stay in an apartment rather than a hotel because I wanted to cook for myself. And although I did know beforehand that there was no dishwasher ideally I would have liked to have had one since I did not want to do washing up. I also bumped my head once on the en-suite door transom which is a bit low.
Lovely apartment in old farmhouse and extensive grounds - able to watch the wildlife from the window. I particularly appreciated the welcome hamper of wine, treacle tarts etc.

United KingdomMy dog managed to find a couple of muddy streams to swim in (one in the grounds) and although I found an outside tap to wash him a small length of hosepipe would have made it easier.Letting the dog out at night was a bit hairy as the grounds were extensive and he just disappeared into the darkness.
Communication prior to stay was excellent, key collection and parking were clearly visible. Hosts were friendly, helpful and on hand if needed. The accommodation was clean and equipped with everything I needed. The welcome pack was excellent even some treats for my dog who loved running and playing in the grounds.

United KingdomLack of laundry facilities. (In 40 years of renting, first time without a washing machine -literally) With the amount of crock/cutlery requiredfor2 people, the dishwasher is superfluous. The hot water through the hot taps was DANGEROUSLY hot. HSE recommend 50 degrees C.
Location, surrounded by meadows. Close to interesting local places. The view west from adjacent field ( part of the property.) Availability of owner by texting and quick response. Light, airy rooms
