Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United StatesIt was so tiny that I had to heave my suitcase over the side of my bed in order to get it at the end of the bed next to the desk. If I left it by the door I'd never be able to get in the bed. The bed was firm but satisfactory. I couldn't get the safe to work. There's no a/c and I would have been miserable without the fan due to the humidity. And it's only May. The fan was a nice one though, clean and strong. The hotel does request that you leave the room key with reception when you step out. I found that uncomfortable but nothing bad happened as a result. For a one night stay, none of these things would keep me from staying here again. The location to Kings Cross, the price, cleanliness, ground floor, and quietness of the room far outweigh these negatives.
I asked for and received a ground floor room so that I wouldn't have to lug my suitcase up the stairs. The window faced the back and the view is of the building's side. It's not pretty but it meant no road or construction noises. The staff was friendly and was happy to supply a fan and hair dryer upon request. My room had a water kettle and mug available. The room and bathroom were clean and spotless. I liked that there wasn't carpet. I also liked that it came with a desk and chair.

United KingdomThe bathroom was tiny with no windows and had a strange door which you could see inside through the large gaps with the sink outside the bathroom inside the sleeping area which didn't feel right but despite this not being my preference it didn't hinder our stay at all. With our room on the ground floor right next to the walk way and reception area we experienced a lot of outside noise late at night with passers-by and the squeak of the main front door. You could feel the vibration of the tube beneath when it passed through so if you need silence this may not be for you.
The hotel was a short walk from main train stations Euston and Kings Cross with plenty of restaurants and convenience stores situated nearby. The hotel is a small but suitable sized room for the two of us and had what it needed for our two night stay over. Staff on the reception area were really friendly and happy to help.

United KingdomThe property was perfect for us, there are no lifts which may be a problem for less able people, however there are not many stairs to climb.
The hotel was exceptionally clean, housekeeping to be congratulated. The room was small but it had everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable. The proximity to St Pancras/Kings Cross was ideal for our early morning trip on Eurostar. Staff were helpful and welcoming.
