Overall excellent - The heating did not work in the room which was replaced very quickly so cannot really say it was a problem but it should have been working in the first place

Dog friendly and ate in the bar with our dog the first night. At breakfast the next morning we were told we couldn’t bring our dog in exactly the same area whilst food was being served up.

The Post Code for the hotel took me to the centre of the village. I actually drove past the hotel as my sat nav told me I still had about half a mile to go before reaching the site. Not sure if this is my sat nav or the post code, so this is only a recommendation for you to clear the misunderstanding future visitors may have.

The room was comfortable and, considering that the hotel was next to a busy motorway junction, very quiet.

The menu in that bar was a little limited for my choice, but I could have eaten in the restaurant if I had chosen too, so not a problem really.

Handy location. Spotlessly clean. Friendly staff and comfortable, quiet room. I have stayed previously, but some years ago now. I will go again.

Our room was very cool on arrrival (no heating on) and controller on radiator was not at all user friendly, reception staff did come and put it on for us through, we also could not get TV to work , it said there was no siganl ? At one point there was a power outage across the whole hotel but it was very brief ? we would not like to stay in the area around room 205 again as there is a boarding kennels very close by and we could hear lots of dogs barking right throughout the night,

very clean and comfy bed , room had been renovated so everything was new, hotel only reopened that week and having a few teething problems but the staff attended to all issues arising immediately

Hadn't realised it was a pet friendly hotel. I did wake several times to dogs barking in the night. The rooms were a bit dated and the heater and desk in particular were very dusty. The bathroom could do with an upgrade.

Great location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good but could have had more choice of freshly prepared fruit as there was only melon. We had an evening meal and the choice was very good and reasonably priced.

Couldn’t get the soap/shampoo dispensers to work in the shower. Otherwise perfect 🤩

Brilliant location! Onto the M1 so quickly.Had only recently opened but the staff couldn’t have been kinder. Bed super comfortable- best nights sleep in a long time. Food (pizza & Caesar salad) was excellent & we were able to take it to our room to eat it.

I had mentioned I would be there very late. When I got there the room was freezing due to the window being left open (I assume after cleaning). I couldn't figure out how to heat the room so had to use both blankets from the beds.

The room was clean and tidy with a clean bathroom and tea and coffee making facilities. The staff on reception were very helpful and welcoming. The location was perfect for where I was working the next day.

Our evening meal took over an hour to arrive, and was not what was originally ordered. Liz explained what had happened and arranged for our meal to be complimentary.... A fair outcome under the circumstances.

Breakfast was good, although a bit limited due to covid restrictions. Staff were excellent, top marks to Liz St. John for sorting our problem (just one of many she and her team had to deal with over the weekend!)

Hotel very convenient off motorway with plenty parking. Booked 3 rooms for wedding and hotel kindly prepared 1 room for very early check inn as travelling and needed to refresh and change. Staff were so polite when making contact on phone also at hotel itself were very polite and helpful.
