Although the hotel was clean it seemed that everywhere in the hotel there was an overwhelming clean smell. Sounds daft but it really was very strong. The breakfast was awful 3 out of the 4 nights we stayed it was cold and dried up, on our last morning there we went down at 0630 for breakfast and it was fine. So if you don’t was cold and dried up eggs and bacon get down first thing. I was disappointed there were no facilities to charge EVs, you would think a brand like Marriott would have had these installed by now. The water in the bathroom is pretty low pressure and we found ourselves waiting quite a long time to run a bath. The grounds outside were very uneven and a serious trip hazard, and although they have put a few signs up saying this you would think they would just fix it.

The hotel was very clean and modern, the staff were friendly. The hotel was far enough away from the road so the noise was very minimal. Parking was great the carpark is massive, I would think there would be ample parking even if the hotel was fully booked.

Although the room was lovely. Attention to cleaning could be better. The bathroom floor was dirty and could do with updating. Paintwork flaking of shower ceiling and looking a little dated with around the tiles. The tbags were very poor in the room and at breakfast. They constantly burst open and therefore had to keep remaking with a new t bag. Breakfast was a good choice. The English breakfast however was pretty much cold and the eggs looked dried out and hard instead of fresh and runny, like they'd been out a while. Read as if there own pool, but in actual fact it was a health spa attached and so busy all the time. We ended up not using it.

Overall I would give it 8/10 Staff polite, welcoming and friendly. Bed amazingly comfortable and great room. Great experience.

Pillows are too soft and uncomfortable. I wish there options for pillows to enhance the experience. Windows were locked. Not getting fresh air in the room was disappointing. The doors shot so loudly. Kept waking up as people got into their rooms. And the rooms are not sound proof. I could hear the next rooms tv in my room. Like I said, it works for a short work trip but not as a holiday stay.

Good room size. Clean and functional. The bed was comfortable. The staff is nice and accommodating. The food was delicious. It’s good for traveling for work.

The food was not great. I order the roasted red pepper and tomato soup with warm potato bread and sea salt butter, except the butter was a small plastic tub with margarine inside. The breakfast meal was not up to a 4 star hotel standard either. The breakfast menu advertised freshly baked breads and both morning we had sliced white bread (from the supermarket???). When we asked for the bread, we were told that there wasn't any.

The location is very convenient, the room was spacious and clean. Good size pool, nice restaurant and breakfast room.

Staff in restaurant on first evening were unprofessional and offered a poor service. Accompaniments to both our meals arrived when we were half way through our main meals. We did speak with manager on duty about the situation- however on the second evening with different table staff and manager the service was friendly and slick. 😀😀

Fantastic location, superb breakfast choice and quality - although “ran out of sausages” on our second morning!! Large room and bed with plenty of storage. Nice to have a view over the gardens this time

Being kept waiting for our room, even though we had had a email to confirm out early check on 1st September, carpet in room a bit tried needs a replacement, shower screen did let the water onto the floor, breakfast a bit unorganised, having to waiting for some item to be replaces, coffee machine only one working, and no milk next to the machines, so you had to go look for it, so breakfast started to go cold before you get to eat it, things not where you would expect the, to be.

The room was comfortable.Bar staff where great and friendly even thought they had a large wedding on and a lots of guest staying for the races. Breakfast was good tasted good once you could get to eat. Over all would go back again.

We often had to wait for the breakfast to be replenished. Also, we paid for a late checkout at 1pm but our room key timed out at 11am. We couldn't get back into our room after using the Spa despite going down to reception twice. Eventually, the lady servicing the bedrooms opened our room for us.

Our room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast food was delicious. Location is very convenient for Gloucester, Cheltenham and the M5.

Steam room was a little cool, and it would have been nice to be able to go down to the pool in robe and slippers, but no slippers were provided.

A very comfortable stay. Lovely sized room, huge bed, decent sized bathroom (with a bath). Nice pool with steam room and sauna. Fabulous choice when it came to breakfast - and served till 11am on weekends. Decent bar, and nice restaurant.
