Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Poland- giant crates instead of lockers - they were hard to manage and made a lot of noise while being pulled out - too little space in the showers/toilets
- great localization (a bus to Stansted airport just around the corner) - I liked the vibe of the place, glad there is a safe space for female travelers, I felt 100% safe all the time - those plush-butterfly-cushions were soo cute 🦋🥰

This "hostelle" is really great located just 5 min away from the closest tube, it's a great value for money and a safe place.

United StatesCookware in the kitchen is not very clean. Stovetop doesn’t always work. Slightly far away from the city center.
Lounge is open 24 hours with a lot of sockets! The bed has curtain, sockets, and light (though the light is slightly far away from the head area).

AustraliaEvery night there would be multiple people turning on the dorm light, 11:30pm, 3am, arriving making a lot of noise whilst some of us were trying to sleep especially from jet lag. Bring earplugs and an eye mask.
The staff were amazing, check in was easy and facilities were great. Easy to get into London by the tube although can be very busy. The beds were comfortable especially after a long flight and jet lag. The hostel also had activities on throughout the week which was really fun.

CanadaI stayed in two rooms on the 3rd floor, one with 6 beds and the other with 8. The first room was spacious, but the second felt cramped and darker than expected, more suited for four occupants rather than six. Accessing the storage cage beneath two of the beds was impossible, even with just two people in the room, making it feel overly crowded. Removing one of the bunk beds would alleviate this issue. Navigating the stairs with a heavy suitcase proved incredibly difficult due to their narrowness and the windy layout. While there's a small elevator for lighter items, it's too small for a suitcase. It would be helpful if the bathrooms had adequate storage for toiletries; the slanted plastic shelves above each sink are entirely useless. Better ventilation is needed in the bathroom, as it becomes excessively hot after a shower. On the third floor, there are two bathrooms and two showers in the same room, leading to excessive moisture. One guest left a 12-person room on the first floor due to theft incidents in the bathroom. The bathrooms also require better lighting for makeup application, as does room 15.
Beds - Have a nightlight & a little shelf with cages under the bed & privacy curtains Bathrooms - no shelf space at sinks but very hot & cold water. Needs a wedge for the door for better airflow Showers - Shelf space, good enough water pressure & hot water Overall - Very clean & the ladies that work there are so happy & accommodating (you can tell they care!!) It feels like it's in a bit of a poorer section of London but I never felt unsafe walking back after the tube at night. A two-minute walk from the tube station, a straight line, right after Shakespeare Bar & before the clock. Grocery store a few buildings over, or a cute breakfast place a block and a half away called Astro.

Czech RepublicA small maintenance could be made - some shelves repairs at bathrooms. Put some additional toilet paper at toilets when the main one runs out :)
Wonderful, pleasant and helpful staff, friendly atmosphere. Guests are from all age categories and it was always easy to start a small talk with them. :) USB charging stations everywhere. Very good WiFi. Useful kitchen. Really close to underground station (about 3 mins by foot). Lot of small shops close by (pharmacy, Tesco Express, Post Office, some fast foods, even Starbucks).

South AfricaI didn't have breakfast so I can't comment on that. The air in the room was quite stuffy (16 bed room so not entirely unexpected), even with some sort of aircon/fan going full blast, but the air wasn't as stuffy at the top of the bunkbed which was a relief. I liked the sound of the fan, as it masked any other sleep sounds. I wouldn't say that it is the best location, and there were some people just standing about at night and during the day, but nothing happened to actually risk my safety, I just wouldn't walk around by myself at night if I can help it. However, I did book in at 2 am so I wouldn't advise walking around at that time anywhere in general. It is close to the tube which is great location wise.
I didn't have breakfast so I can't comment on that. I liked the curtain enclosing my bed because it gives privacy and made me feel safe and secure. The sheets where white, soft and clean and the mattress was very comfortable (I have back issues so this was really appreciated). I'm quite reactive to bug bites and can safely say that there weren't any bedbugs or other pests which was great! There was a charging point and little shelf at the end of the bed making it easy to charge my phone without worrying about someone being tempted to take it. There is a cage/drawer thing under the bed which I didn't use but which could be useful to lock one's things in.

I liked that atmosphere of a community and it reminded me of the years at the Uni where I had to share my room with other peers)) and the kitchen with the whole floor)) Location is super))
