No lift. (Our friends were travelling for 6 weeks so had big bags.) Also no porter. Luggage storage available but not locked. Restaurant was fully booked.

Breakfast not included so went without. Room had tea/coffee and iron and ironing board. All we needed for one night stay.

Slight negative was breakfast. What I had was lovely but the pancake machine had run out and chef said 20 minutes to refill which we didn’t have time for. I had to wait for him to cook more bacon as none left. It was only 9am but felt like the dregs were left. The evening buffet £28 was also disappointing. Limited choice.

Lovely setting. Staff very friendly and helpful. Free tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits and fruit available anytime was excellent and appreciated. Bedroom comfortable and clean. We will stay again.

The scampi dinner main course we both ordered undermined our health overnight and especially the following morning.

The room was great - very comfortable. Sadly we didnt have much time to explore the venue, becuse we have both travelled from afar. The desert and wine were very good as was the service

First room was OK if a little small, however the bathroom sink tap was loose and the lever taps almost solid. We were 'upgraded', the room had just been released from a refurbishment. However we later learned that the bathroom wasn't part of the refurbishment. That is quite ridiculous, the shower head was broken and flooded the cubicle. The bath was old and it's fitting quite worn.

Loved the location, its an exceptional area.

Very happy with everything about the hotel. Staff were exceptionally friendly. Didn't have breakfast or a meal at the hotel but menu's looked good. Really liked the story of the estate painted on the walls in the lower section of the hotel.

small beds, outdated, no mirror in bedroom for hair drying. requested a room close to reception and were given last room in the hotel 472. No luggage assistance offered, with several difficult staircases to manage. very dark room, lighting not up to standard. bathroom extraction should come on automatically and not by a switch above the door ?

night receptionist, good check-in and brought shaver which I forgot.

No bath was provided, and the room was smaller than expected. We were told there was renovation in the hotel. Hence, we were moved to a smaller room with no bath.

Location, facilities. It is a good location with lots of areas to explore. There are areas to chill out and enjoy the moment.I would love to visit again. Good food, there was buffer breakfast and dinner.

To watch TV you have to sit on the bed because the chair is far too close, but must crane your neck! The buffet was rather disappointing, dull. I did not have steak because I noticed I would not be asked how I'd like it (rare was not an option).

Bedroom, great bed. View from the window, not overlooked. Good tea & milk in the tea/coffee kit.

Not happy with the "upgrade" which was to a room in the Tower. This builbing is away from the hotel. The problem we found was having to go back to the hotel for restaurant, pool etc. So in our opinion it was not an upgrade just a nuisance. If we had been staying for more than 1 night we would have asked to move.

Room was okay. Breakfast was fine although missed the usual buffet as less than 50 quests staying in hotel at the time. Dinner was slow but food okay. Lovely surroundings including the lake.
