The mattress was a bit soft for us but other people might find it ok … we have back issues and prefer a firm mattress.

The hosts where extremely friendly and helpful. They did not provide a cooked breakfast but had a meals area that had a microwave, air fryer, fridge, kettle etc that you could use any time. Cereal, yoghurt, bread, pastries 🥐, muffins and fruit 🍎 where available to eat all day. You can buy food in town and bring it back to prepare if you want. Lovely setting and good areas for a walk.

The only issue was that there was just all sweet stuff for breakfast or fruit, of which I could not have as I’m diabetic. Stupidly I assumed there would be a cooked option, this was not the owners fault.

The only thing as a light sleeper the light in the morning from the bathroom window came through the glass bathroom door and woke me up.

Breakfast was varied and plentiful. Location has stunning views and it was lovely sitting outside looking across the estuary to The Fells. Hosts were friendly and David helped with finding a restaurant for that day.

Fantastic value for money, the hosts could not have been more helpful and friendly but were not intrusive. A fantastic choice of fruits, breakfast items, juice etc which was available at all hours which was very welcome after a long day of tourism when we couldn’t be bothered to drag our 3 year old back out for dinner. Lovely garden and path along to the beach. The room was perfectly clean and the view was lovely. A lovely little gem of a place which was great value for money.

Was not sure where to turn in to the house drive, an arrow on the sign would help.

Super location overlooking the mountains and the estuary. David explained where to go on local walks. Provided gluten free cereals and bread for my wife who is coeliac. Would like to have stayed longer

The breakfast items were mainly prepackaged muffins and cereals. Fresh bread was available for toast. That's only a small detail, really. Overall, it was a great place.

The hosts live upstairs and were quite warm and friendly. They gave us a great orientation tour and answered all our questions. They thought of many small details like providing reusable bottles of water and having a few snacks. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom spacious with plenty of hot water. The home was impeccably clean. The location is remote, which was our desire, but still only about a 7-8 minute drive from center of town. Highly recommend.

Initially the approach through the industrial estate is a little off putting.

The whole place was spotless. Room had everything we needed and the kitchen/dining area was available 24/7. The view from the room was incredible. The host Dave could not be more helpful.

Great location with stunning views across the estuary and fells, breakfast provision and arrangements worked well, and the hosts are very easy going, friendly and amenable. Good Coastal walk direct from the door step, We know the location and its approx. 20 mins walk to the local village centre with limited restaurants, particularly on a Sunday night

Quiet location, beautiful view across the estuary to the Lakeland hills. Good continental breakfast, access to fresh milk at all times for our cuppas, rather than horrible UHT tubs.

The hosts were great, helped us with laundry and didn't want to take anything in return. The rooms are clean and comfortable, rich breakfast, stunning view. It is highly recommended

The only down side to our stay was the bed was extremely soft and a bit lumpy, maybe just different to what were used to but sleeping was a little troublesome

Excellent Place Great host very peaceful. We had a wonderful three days and everything was very adequate and the views and the estuary and the privacy was excellent David and Carroll were very kind and we would definitely return back as it is a good retreat and not far from the beautiful countryside

Exceptional location. David, the host was a wonder and helped us in everything, suggesting routes and places to visit. The room had stunning views. We loved the accommodation, definitely recommend! We will come back!
