Lovely cottage, parking was great for 2 cars. Beds were comfy and the bedding was clean and fresh. Showers were really good and the cottage was very clean. The pub in front of the cottage Blacksmith arms serve delicious tasty food and nice staff. Great choice of wines. Nice little beer garden.

Warm, very clean and very spacious. Host very friendly and communicated well. Great location to explore the area. Host very helpful in forwarding on an item that was left behind.

A very small point but the mirror in the bathroom is above the bath and not the wash basin.

Super property in a quiet village location but within easy reach of Malton for pubs, shops etc. The apartment itself was well equipped and very comfortable. Excellent pub restaurant below the apartment (open Wed to Sun) which served really delicious food. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. Would love to stay here again!

Kitchen not designed well, couldn't reach top of cupboards. Nothing was a complete set. Cutlery didn't match. Only 2 saucepans. No bowls or bake ware. Shower flooded. Broken sidelight.

Nothing other than perhaps a fan in the bedrooms.

Very detailed directions forwarded in advance. The apartment was very spacious and well equipped. Due to traffic and heavy rain we were much later arriving than expected. We were able to order a takeaway from the pub downstairs ‘The Blacksmith’s Arms’ the food was absolutely delicious (we ate there the night after) and the staff are lovely and friendly. My husband said it was the best steak and ale pie he’s ever eaten (and he should know, he’s eaten a lot of them over the years)

The mirror in the bathroom was over the bath not the sink!!

There was no breakfast. I expected some milk in the fridge to make a cup of tea. That was very disappointing as there were no shops near. It would have been good if the pub offered a breakfast of some sort. We had to drive to Malton to get a coffee and breakfast. 5 miles away!!

It was very clean and comfortable. The staff where very friendly and accommodating. Its absolutely gorgeous this time of year too with the lovely garden . Definitely recommend to anyone .

The cottage was great, very clean and exceptionally well equipped and it is nice to have a pub on the doorstep. I would happily book again.

This is not a negative but the heating was a bit erratic when we arrived. Amazingly, this was fixed within an hour on a busy Friday evening 2 weeks before Christmas, so well done to them.

The only thing "WHICH IS NOT AN ISSUE AT ALL" as most wouldn't mind is the shower doesn't go cold enough I have been doing the wim hof cold showers etc for years now and the shower went hot as liked but once I had it hot enough and switched down to cold for the shock effect and to have a ice cold shower to finish it didn't really go cold

We liked everything about the property everything was better than expected and we would happily stay there again

It was a good place and we'll be back, but remember its a cottage not a mansion, stairs are steep (if you have a young child who is active and won't sit down) .. Its also in a small village in the countryside and the nearby pub is the central attraction, so pay attention to when the pub is/isn't open/serving food and also stock up on essentials before you arrive because its a 20 minute+ round-trip if you forget anything ....

Near to the pub (but not so near it causes a problem) Lovely little front garden and also outdoor chair set Two decent downstairs rooms, plus kitchen 3 bedrooms and plenty of washing/shower/bath facilities given the compact size Kitchen has the essentials and more Pub food is very good and they offer a takeaway - this was a real bonus

A wonderful location- really convenient for York and the beautiful moors. The owners apartment is a very comfortable home away from home with everything you need for a self catering experience- including a washing machine and dryer (handy when you have children). But the beds- oh so very comfortable- they deserve a credit all by themselves. I wish we could have stayed longer- we were all happy to do so. I’m recommending this place to friends and family.

I personally would have curtains up at bedroom windows especially for the summer months ad we are light sleepers and the light coming though blinds did awaken us early.
