The restaurant food was not very inspiring, despite recommendations. Bland and uninteresting choice of vegetables, every meal the same. Expensive.

    Lovely view and comfortable.

Bathroom in need of updating and not clean. Extractor vent full of dust. Room smelt foisty when you entered and with the midgies you couldn’t leave patio doors open. Disappointing given cost of our two night stay.

Location was amazing. Food was incredible as were the staff. Room was spacious and lovely decking and furniture for us to sit on and watch the wildlife on the loch.

There’s limited access to the loch beach from the hotel and no place to go for a walk directly from the hotel since it is on the major road. Despite the amazing daytime view, this is not a dark sky hotel. They keep a flood light on the boat slip (I’m guessing for safety) and some flood lights at the beach house area too. This was annoying since we were hoping to see the Northern Lights from there. The taste of the breakfast was only fair since it was sitting out in the hot plates even though we got there as soon as they started serving. We chose not to eat other meals there.

Easy to find and close to the Glenfinnan and Glencoe areas and attractions of the West Highlands which accounts for the cost of the rooms. The hotel sits on Loch Linnhe and provides a gorgeous view of the highlands and Ben Nevis. There’s a working boat slip that is not busy. There’s a green space for the dogs to run. Lots of parking. There is a pool, but we didn’t use it. The hotel is very family-oriented and we don’t have kids so we left the pool to the families. We stayed in the Captain's King Room with Sea View. It was large with king bed, two comfortable chairs, a coffee table, desk, and night stands. The balcony included a table and chairs and overlooked the loch—excellent view. The bathroom was large with a tub and separate shower and a big shelf for our personal toiletries. No robes provided. A kettle was provided along with teas and instant coffee and biscuits. They don’t provide a daily housekeeping service but did upon requested. Though there was a large crowd enjoying the outdoor seating below us at the bar, when we closed the sliding door to the balcony we couldn’t hear the other guests at all—the sound proofing for the hotel was that good! The restaurant was large as well as the bar. The bar also had outdoor seating. The included breakfast was a buffet of cold cereals and Scottish breakfast which allowed us to pick and chose from the Scottish breakfast instead of being given the whole huge thing! The staff in the hotel and restaurant very friendly and attentive.

Being on the ground floor, we didn't have much privacy as there wasn't even a net curtain we could pull across so passing guests couldn't see in.

The Facilities were great and the shower in our room was brilliant, location was stunning with beautiful scenery. Evening meal was cooked to perfection but the breakfast could have had more options, in general, very few choices for my vegetarian partner.

Our only complaint has to do with our room. Room #2 had a musty odor our entire stay. My wife feared it was mold. Though saw no visible evidence of mold I suppose it's possible that there was some in the carpet. Being a waterfront room, I highly recommended you remove carpeting from room and lay down vinyl flooring. It's waterproof, wears forever but looks like wood.

Absolutely beautiful and convenient location of property. Very friendly staff.
