Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomBooking.com advertising Executive room. Holiday Inn called it Premier room -Confusing. Bin was part full of rubbish on arrival. No robes or slippers. One pack of biscuits. No newspapers was told should order on line Key card not worked (then read small sign don't put key card with credit cards)- better if been told in person. All problems sorted by exceptional staff promptly. Went for breakfast was told our room number had already been crossed off again staff sorted. Lots of niggly problems not what you expect paying for an executive room. Check in time is 4pm unless you want to pay a early fee. Most hotels check in is 3pm . Car park although very handy and accessible from hotel via door it was gloomy(lights did come on as approached areas ( done to save energy and nets I presume to keep birds out which is good but first glance bit creepy) although wouldn't have liked to go to it alone. Steep to exit from and scraped bottom of car. Restaurant catered for all but for someone who needs simple menu it was hard to choose. GF limited.
Location perfect beach over the road, town 5 min walk. Car park had availability reasonably price and undercover connection to hotel. Size of room, comfy with additional sofa and chairs. Mini fridge good although did seem hot in the cupboard it was in- nicely stocked with soft drinks. Tea, coffee, biscuits (although on arrival only one pack) and coffee machine. Selection of useful bits shower cap, shaving set, nail file tooth kit. Bathroom good size with extra shower. Towels. Balcony good size and equipped with chairs and table. Window unable to clean as weather/ time had taken it's toll on it. The staff were all friendly, helpful and polite and can not be faulted. Everyone of them excellent.

SpainRestaurant VERY expensive. View from bedroom looked of a graffiti slum ( squat). Bedroom ok. Bathroom clean and new but not thought out and awkward to use. Room was shoved at the back side of the hotel and seemed to be where staff stay or something similar.
Easy location. Comfortable bed.

UgandaHousekeeping left a lot to be desired. I noticed cup ring marks on the bedside table from the day before were not cleaned. I also noticed that the bathtub was not cleaned even though towels were folded. The Sugar and complimentary teas in the room were not replaced There was a LOT of noise coming from the room next to mine including them playing loud music( Maybe walls too thin?) The toilets in near the lobby area could only be accessed by hotel room key-why? There were no sockets/charging ports in the lobby area
The Breakfast had a reasonable variety of juices, teas and coffee. Its good that take-away cups( for tea and coffee) are provided. The room size was adequate. The location near the seafront, near shopping areas was great. The Reception staff were polite and helpful.

United KingdomThe hotel staff acts less urgent with the dog bite incident on my husband inside the hotel involving another guests’ dog where the huge dog was not wearing a muzzle. The hotel incharge who attended to us said that in the policy dogs should have muzzle but in the incident the dog is not wearing one. Beware!!!!!

United KingdomSofa bed small and uncomfortable. Expect two beds for a family room at this price. Breakfast not included for teenage children despite booking saying breakfast included. Parking not signposted as marked on road and covered by cars parked outside when we arrived and paid a lot more at Regent Square. Balcony not well maintained and balcony furniture old, tatty and uncomfortable. Mould in shower. Check in took ages. Very slow despite having checked in online in advance. All in all too expensive for quality provided.
Great location and view. Nice breakfast.

United KingdomIt was in general need of repair. The bathroom sink was cracked and the table on the terrace was broken. The bath and shower was very difficult to adjust. We were awoken and evacuated from the hotel at about 4 am due to the fire alarm going off, and we’re not allowed back to our rooms for about 60 minutes.

United KingdomParts of the hotel are a little dated. A lick of paint here and there, particularly in the rooms would make a big difference. The lift to the underground car park was out of order, which was a struggle for my wife who has some mobility issues. Staff did however give a discount on the parking in recognition of this. The room card didn't work on one occasion and typically it was at a time when guests were checking in, hence a long wait in a queue after a tiring day out. Other guests slamming doors at all hours when absolutely no need and the fact you physically have to do this was a pain. Hardly the hotels fault, but a few signs around the building like in Premier Inns to remind guests to keep noise to a minimum may help? Had a small issue with the TV not working, but staff quickly rectified this.
Great location right on the front and moments from the beach, shops, bars and restaurants Brighton has to offer. Friendly and helpful reception staff. Comfortable room. Secure underground parking available at a cost.

United KingdomNot an attractive facade. One lift out of order, and the other felt, and sounded, like it was about to breakdown too. The “Starbucks” lounge area was not manned initially, and then the barista struggled with the coffee/tea machine… and the till. The underground car park had ridiculously narrow spaces… I feared for my vehicle.
Location, nice sized room, very comfortable bed
