Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNot an attractive facade. One lift out of order, and the other felt, and sounded, like it was about to breakdown too. The “Starbucks” lounge area was not manned initially, and then the barista struggled with the coffee/tea machine… and the till. The underground car park had ridiculously narrow spaces… I feared for my vehicle.
Location, nice sized room, very comfortable bed

United KingdomTo be fair, we were informed prior to our stay that one of the lifts wasn't functioning, but it only left a single small lift for all guests to use, which wasn't ideal. The general decor was quite dated.
Room was clean, spacious and beds were large and comfortable. Room facilities were excellent with all that you need for a family stay. Location was excellent and accessible.

IrelandI did not like Sausages at breakfast they did not look very pleasant , on the last i chanced one i took the smallest bite i had to spit it out it was ofall. And we both got very sick . I saw a man at table next to me he had 2 sausages , so i would say he had fun later.
We stayed there before , and because we did the girl at Recp give us a free drink . She also extended our check out time 1H 30M wich was very nice and helpful.

MaltaThe WIFI was terrible, and I was barely able to connect my devices to it. When I did manage to, I opted to use mobile data just because WIFI was so slow and weak. When I told the front desk staff, they said there was nothing they can do about it. My colleague, who was in a room quite far away, said she had a strong connection though, so I guess i was unlucky with the room location in comparison to the WIFI points. The lift was out of order during check in, which meant we had to carry our luggage up two flights of stairs. We were not offered any help, but we also didn’t ask for any. We did encounter staff carrying older guests’ luggage though, so fair enough. The lift was fixed within 24 hours.
The place was very clean, the room conveniently close to the lifts and breakfast was very good. Heating AND cooling worked flawlessly, the bathroom was spacious and the room had good ironing facilities, and an electric kettle (with different tea and coffee options). The room service staff were excellent, as were the breakfast staff. The hotel itself is a 2 minute walk away from convenience shops and restaurants, and a 5 minute walk from the main street with loads of shopping places.

United KingdomOverpriced rooms, poorly looked after balcony, overpriced disabled bays with lack of signage to state this and no breakfast included in the price of your room.
We have stayed here many times and mainly because it is the only hotel we have found that has a decent size room with a bath (I have a disability and need access to a bath). Unfortunately the price I think is always too much. We usually get a room with the balcony and these really could do with a lot of love and attention. I appreciate that they are sea facing and the weather and spray from the sea can cause damage, but they clearly have not been looked after or re-decorated for a very very long time. I have a disabled badge and used the spaces out the front of the hotel, this is great but only if you are lucky enough to get one as there are only four spaces, which the hotel charge you for. I think given the price they charge for rooms, the least that should be included is either your parking or a breakfast. Disabled parking should always be free and this also should be clearly signposted outside the hotel as it is not until you either are told at reception or see it on their website. So in theory if I was just visiting Brighton for the day and found that disabled bay, i would not have to pay, but because i was staying at the hotel i had to pay £10 per night and this was discounted as i had IHG membership otherwise it is £15 per night. Breakfast is not included in the price of your room and therefore you have to add this on. I think the hotel could do with alot of much needed love and re-decoration.
